The mention of fey folk got me thinking has there been any references to fey in Dragon Age lore? Obviously there are things that fit into the broader spectrum of fey folklore but like an actual specific "this is a fey" reference in DA?

Another random idea, we know the Qunari treat mages like crap. What if the Fex are runaway mages who have created their own race thanks to "magical crazy mutation" because of their whole population consisting of mages.

Or continuing with the runaway idea perhaps the Fex aren't a truly different race but instead the remains of the original humans from Par Vollen. They could be a different branch of humanity from those that settled the rest of Thedas. They could simply appear different because of survival for all this time (so those that didn't embrace the Qun), etc.

i dont even think that they will show us the fex in DA2 because they have shown us nearly nothing of them:( but lets hope they will show them in DA2

Fex makes me think of an evil race of Ferret like creatures that trick people into buying their products. And they wear bowler hats.



Lizard people could be likely. Or possibly some kind of beast race whether its cat people, lizard people, orc people, etc.

I think they could make Planar like races work in Dragon Age.  We already have benevolant spirits and demons so it's not a stretch to expand with more "outworldy" beings.

I think they could make Planar like races work in Dragon Age.  We already have benevolant spirits and demons so it's not a stretch to expand with more "outworldy" beings. 

maybe something that is a step up from what some rivaini do, and have them being a culture in which the people live with spirits either as partners/containers for those fade beings.
