I also really don't understand the hatred towards Thief: Deadly Shadows. To me it smacks of PC elitists getting their knickers in a knot because someone dared to release their beloved game on a console (And this is coming from someone who played all three games on the PC and still prefers PC gaming for the most part). Sure, the segmented levels sucked a little by breaking immersion a bit, but it was still very much the genuine Thief experience.Morbo wrote...
Pffffft! Thief 3 was great fun. Sure, it was no Thief 1 or 2, but still...great fun.The Woldan wrote...
I'd like to see a worthy successor to Thief the Dark Project and Thief The Metal Age. No, Thief Deadly Shadows was junk and had pretty much nothing to do with the Thief series, and yes I know, Eidos Montreal is developing Thi4f or Thief 4, but they're a bunch of screw ups worshipping only two things: money and consoles. Go figure, its going to be super-streamlined super flashy game mainly made for consoles and 14 year olds, thats pretty much the opposite of what T1 & T2 is.
I have no hope for T4.
And with the Cradle it has one of the most atmospheric levels in any game ever, although for pure thief-iness, it can't beat Life of the Party of course. The museum level was also really deliciously fun.
Will have to wait and see how Thief 4 turns out, though calling it Thi4f isn't very promising.
If someone could objectively tell me why Thief: Deadly Shadows was so bad and defiled the apparently sacred ground of Thief 1 and 2, I'd love to hear it. If Thi4f bears a close resemblance to any of the games from the series, it'll be a guaranteed buy for me.

Age of Wonders
Commandos
Age of wonders series is being resurrected at GoG.com. I bought Shadow Magic.
I still play Shadow Magic PBEM. I would like another iteration with more unit variety and an improved system for using wizards and a little more of the RTS stuff they had in AOW1.
Also, be sure to grab the 1.4 UPatch - it's pretty much the standard nowadays and check out the forums at heavengames

Apparently TS4 is in the works, or CryTek UK (Can't remember if that's the name they use now) are looking into working on it.Johnson45 wrote...

Ultima
I suppose you're right, The IP is not technically dead with Ultima online still hanging around. Ultimately what I would love to see is a return to Britannia via single-player rpg with many of of the same game-mechanics/storytelling of Ultima 7. Not likely to happen, but here's to hoping!

I think an Ultima X developed by Bioware, Obsidian, or even Bethesda would be just fine.

Baldur's Gate (or another D&D title with that kind of gameplay).
Caesar.
A WoD single player game.
