However, what are the chances that bioware in Dragon Age 3 will make us be an elf/dwarf/quinari? Numbers show thatthe majority of people who play rpgs tend to be human fighters. So i'm hoping Im not forced into being a skinny **** she-elf come dragon age 3.

In any event I'd rate the chances at Bioware making a future game in which being a human protagonist isn't an option as slim to none.

People like to empathise and associate with a protagonist, and this is easier to do the more similarities to them you bare. The reasons that they're popular isn't a mystery or anything of which Bioware is not aware.

It would depend on the opinion of the player towards dwarves and their culture in general, I suppose.
The reason I don't play non-humans is purely aesthetic and not the result of any prejudicial value judgments about their inherent worth.

It will also be locked because it's speculation about DA3, and someone like Chris will likely say, "Let's wait until DA2 comes out before we start speculating on DA3, shall we?

Anyway, contra the OP, I actually think it would be kind of cool if Bioware built a Dragon Age game around an Elf character, and really got in depth with the oppression he or she faced. It probably won't happen, though,

I like my main character to be lithe and somewhat graceful. Dwarves don't quite fit the bill.
I also don't like how their culture works, but that's why I pick Bhelen pretty much every time I swing around Orzammar.

My obvious inference is that you would never bother picking up Origins if it did not include humans in the first place.

Maybe it's because dwarves are fat and ugly?

The Nameless One isn't undead, he is immortal (not per se, but close).MAD WHITE HAM wrote...

I'm sorry to tell you that in Dragon Age 3 Bioware will make us play as a nug. The tale begins in a rundown tavern called Nug In A Mug and dinner is about to be made - of you...
I want to see this as the next Flash based game.

They're short and broad. I wouldn't exactly call them ugly -well, most of them aren't anyway.
Quite a few dwarven females are actually kind of cute.

Understandable. I do not agree with it personally, but I can respect it. By the way, I would humbly suggest you remove the "racist" mark from the topic and original post. While I can see you did not mean to use the term in its offensive sense, plenty of people around here seem to look for an excuse to get offended and go out of their way to misinterpret others.MAD WHITE HAM wrote...

Nah, they should be races. They aren't far enough different in DA to be considered different species (except maybe the Qunari--and we don't know about that exactly). Now, in some games, they are different species.
I prefer to play humans, too, but I think it's more of an aesthetic choice than anything else. The dwarves and elves generally look off to me (more off than the humans, anyway
