Trimmed little beard. Given himself a little blood smear across his face. Hangs out with his sister. I think we can agree that this guy is, to say the least, a wee bit of a ******.

So Bioware, what we need is dialogue options that support the ****edness that Hawke deserves. Every conversation should allow you to be a rude, sarcastic, ever-so-slightly camp bastard. Let us right hook old women, annoying merchants, the disabled, whoever. If you talk to Hawke you risk a hooking. Let us respond to a dying slave with "Don't bleed on my shoes, these are new,". Give us a quest to choose between two guilds, with a third option to ruin them both. Not even for money, just because Hawke is a dick. Let us spread STDs among the brothels, not because we enjoy the sex but because STDs make Hawke happy.

Being a generic, human, rags-to-riches hero is fine if we can do a second playthrough as an unbelievable ****.

I saw a scene yesterday that was really, really cool. My only complaint afterwards - probably less than 5% of the players will ever see it because it pretty much involves being the biggest jerk ever.

As long as you get something for it I will probably end up seeing it (without going online to find it).  I usually have at least one complete jerk character.

I like to alternate between naughty and nice depending on the situation. Can't force myself to commit either way all the time.

I can guarantee I won't ever see it, unless I watch my son or my daughter's boyfriend playing DA2  (don't worry both over 18.......... ) Miss goody two shoes, that's me!

Well Big Blue Car, assuming that's you in the profile pic, you aren't that hot looking either!

Hawke of the preview vids/pics looks like a typical Final Fantasy she-boy with a beard. Underneath the beard, he is way too androgynous.

Considering the apocalyptic severity and scale of various game mechanics related simplifications we have heard about, this is smallest of my worries, unfortunatelly! I bet it is possible to alter his face to some degree at least.*shrug*

Normally I don't act like a huge jerk in Bioware games.. but I find myself really tempted to do it now.

OP's post was hilarious. And it's good to hear that Hawke can be a suprising jerk John Elper. I still find a few of the Renegade dialogues in ME 2 to be hilarious.

I'm sure i won't be able to play it (i'm totally good), but I so want to see the options already. Saw some videos on youtube yesterday (Shepard is such a jerk and is still a jerk) and that just crashed my mind, made me walking around the house grinning and saying nasty things and so... quoting Shepard.

So i'm already so totally looking forward to this!!!
