It's not a key, it's a ritual. Take the earthen jug from the fountain, fill it. place it on the altar, then pray at the altar. Take a sip from the jug, take the jug back to the water, and dump the rest of the contents into the fountain.

My version of this quest is not working. I have the filled jug, but the alter does nothing. The alter is called Broken Alter.... with an indent where someone might place something. Do I have to fix the Alter somehow first?
