I installed the two disks and most of the extra content is downloaded. However, Awakening isn't in the "other Campaigns" menu selection.  Why?  It isn't one of the downloads either.  Where oh where might it be?  Must I have to reinstall to get it to show up?  Thanks for the input in advance.

Am I right to assume that you have installed Dragon Age Ultimate Edition?

I'm having the same problem, and yes I bought the Ultimate edition. I bought it through steam if that makes any difference. The first time I installed it Awakening was there but all the DLCs were "Unauthorized". I followed the fixes on the EA support site and got my DLCs working but Awakening had mysteriously disappeared. I then uninstalled and tried reinstalling and again all my DLCs worked but Awakening is still missing.

You might want to look at  this from GroovyTaxi regarding his steam version.

Back up your Addins file beforehand
I personally do not understand quite what part of this file they copied and pasted
Hope this helps

UPDATE: I came to the same understanding as GroovyTaxi, I just solved it in a more brute-force way. Basically I found that if you have any old addins, toolset, etc. from DA:O it screws things up. So I just renamed my old Dragonage folder in My Documents before the install. Then after it was installed I copied my save files into the fresh folder and reinstalled my addins and toolset.

I double-checked that this was the problem by copying my old addins into the new folder and sure enough Awakening disappeared and my DLC went haywire. I removed them and it went back to normal.

Wow, ok I'm a tad confused on exactly what I need to do to make the fix. Is there another explanation of this fix so I know exactly what text that I'm copying to the addins.xml file and exactly where I'm copying it. I'm not sure what a tag is or where it is. I'm no .xml expert.

I'm going to try an uninstall and reinstall and first see if that works, but please give any advice to the previous question as this may not fix the issue.

EDIT
It worked, it appears that using a user account and installing the game in "run as" creates the issue of Awakening not showing up.  Installed the game inside the admin account and it appeared, however it still didn't show up on my user account, so I copied the folder "Bioware" from "my documents" in my admin account to my user account and whaalaa it appeared.  It seems when I uninstalled the game it left folders in my user account, which was kind of a blessing in disguise as I didn't need to download any of the extra modules and goodies as they where inside my user account bioware folder which has over 4 gigs of data inside of it.

This problem only happens when using Windows Vista(/XP?).When using Windows 7,everything is OK after the first time installation.
