So I'm just wondering if there might be any plan to make the DLC available for people who have already purchased DA:O and awakening... seeing as I bought DA:O twice, once to pre-order it in DVD format, and second time through steam for awakening.

I get the whole, DLC is their way of making money, but when you're basically giving it away now, for less than what the game cost when it first came out, shouldn't it be free now?

Just saying.

Ummm, can't you? Why not just download the DLC from the website? It's not free, but it's not much and you don't have to buy Origins and/or Awakenings again.

Steam won't let you install Awakening if you don't also have Steam Origins. I bought Awakening on Steam awhile ago when there was a sale, but it whined that it couldn't find the files or somesuch nonsense. I later ended up just using the EA Download Manager and put in the serial and downloaded/installed it from there. :/

I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't know about this. Hopefully I'll keep this in mind the next time I'm buying games on Steam :)

Yeah, that was the main reason I bought it on steam. I'm not opposed to buying the DLC, but as a broke college student who also suffers from video game addiction it's helpful when my dealer offers to give me a little extra.

I'm way too much of a fanboy to rage and throw a fit because of it. They have to make money, I get that, but they're already giving the DLC stuff away for free. At the very least, they could offer the DLC in a package for less than what they cost individually, I'd probably be all over that.

My only other complaint is the bioware points. You have to buy more points than the DLC costs in order to buy the DLC, they wont let you just pay the 6 or 7 bucks for the DLC. But now I'm just ranting, and thats not what I want.
