If memory serves, she is from the militaristic Pentaghast clan of Nevarra, so it is only logical to assume she has that hairstyle as more out of efficiency than anything else, bottom line is, from the few things we've seen about her, I think it suits her personality much better than the other one.

IMO the black hairstyle fits her better since it flows more naturally with her overall look and feel and it does not collide with the dark background.
That white hair on Cassandra is the only design decision from Bioware so far I can't agree with, oddly enough considering how riled up people get around here for everything

I thought the same when I saw the shorter hair, it fits her military background..

Now the color, white is a bit stark but I don't mind it, I did a quick edit and here she is with black hair

Initially I thought I preferred the white, but having seen that screenshot I'm somewhat undecided.

Though I am definately unclear on quite what that expression is attempting to convey.

Personally, I'm not sure about her hair. I like the short version, but I'm not sure about the color. I mean, her eyebrows are black, and her hair is white...
