So I get all set, have the conversation at camp "I have marked the location on your map, will meet you there, etc." only... I can't see that anything corresponding has been added to my world map.
Bug / broken, or am I just missing something obvious?

It should be right at the top of the map, just to the left of Denerim.

Got nothing there - the closest thing to it on my map is 'Battlefield', from one of the Redcliff side quests...

wardens Keep on your map by chance

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall it prompting me to add DLC as part of this quest. You might check to see if you have the proper downloads installed.

talk to the guy in your camp again, if its not on your map you haven't initiated it... I thought you just go straight there after talking with him... but I beat that quest a while ago and my memory is horrible

There's a bug, it tends to disappear. Also can happen to other DLC and character main weapons as I recall reading. There was a 18+ page thread going on the old forum about it but it appears there's nothing here and of course the old forums are down. To my knowledge EA is not acknowledging the issue. Hopefully if more people chime in on this/other threads we can get some dev response.
You can try loading older saves, that didn't work for me though. There are also various hacks, works for some people not others. Uninstalling and reinstalling game/DLC also worth a try. So far all that worked for me was starting a new game from scratch. (working so far anyway...)

The conclusion from that 18 page thread:
It's the DRM.
Your game is behaving exactly the way a pirated copy would if you didn't have the proper cracks for the DRM.
So, either crack your game correctly or pay for the DLC. Don't post on the official boards as if you had an actual problem.

I paid and saw it on the map for a while. I talked to the guy at the camp. He told me to join him at the Soldier's Peak. Then I wondered out to do the Magi Tower quest, came back to camp. The guy is gone and the icon on the map is gone!

Yeah... except the fact that all of my content is 100% paid for and legal, registered, with codes etc. Bought the Collecter's Edition in a retail store day it came out, bought Warden's Keep with points purchased through ea.com. I didn't try cracks until I had the issue, fought for over a day, and read that it had fixed the issue for some. But thanks for assuming the worst of people.

My character suddenly became naked when I saved my game in The Pearl then began playing again and all main weapons on my party were gone. At first I thought, OH! A brothel and I am naked...makes sense I guess but wierd that I had no option. Then I realized none of the rest of the party members had main weapons. I am fully paid for and this is BS...I guess I will start saving (not quicksaving) after every major thing.

I had this same problem actually, and YES, I did pay for all of the content (I wouldn't have a reason not to, considering the fact I just use my parents credit card
). The problem is even though it says its installed and live it only partially downloads the content. Go into your AddIns folder and delete the Warden's Keep DLC folder. Then, run the games config and under Repair click "Clear Download Cache". Once this is done Warden's Keep should show up and be available for download again. Download it and don't play the game while it's downloading, just let it do its thing. This is how I got mine working.

stupid question. did you download it?

Definitely not a piracy issue, as I've got a completely legal version of it (the super-awesome ultra-deluxe pre-order version from Steam!), and it disappeared from my map mid-game, too. I've just given up on the game entirely at this point, and will likely never finish it. I certainly won't be buying any EA games again.

Darpaek...get stuffed.
I paid for the super duper deluxe pre-order Steam version and even got the DLC going back to Ostagar (complete waste of money).
I played through once and am/was playing through a 2nd time with another character. I stop playing to play through Mass Effect2 and come back to Dragon Age. I was playing in Ozzimar and then going for the Temple. I go to camp and Alistair is naked. Dreyden is there asking to go with him to Soldier's peak. Everything I had stored in the chest is gone as well as Alistair's Warden Commander armor.
I am totally pissed if there is no way to reset this. I was planning on getting Awakenings but as of right now...no way.

I just installed 1.04, and the Warden's Peak has disappeared from my map. I've already completed the quest, I still have the special skills from the DLC, and I don't care about losing Levi Dryden as a merchant, but I DO care about losing all the cool swag I was storing in the party chest... (And yes, this is 100% legit--no illegal downloads here.)

Guess I'll try to clear the cache and see if that works.

I found this thread to be extremely helpful in solving this very problem just the other day. This portion of Section 2 did it for me:
If it hasn’t, try forcing the DLC to reinitialize itself.
* Go to the Game’s Main Menu
* Go the Installed Content Tab under Downloadable Content
* Find the DLC you are having problems with on the list of DLC.
* Clear the checkmark next to the DLC to disable it.
* Go back to the Main Menu and load your last save. When it gives you a message about DLC being disabled, Force Load the save.
* Make a new save with the DLC disabled.
* Exit back to the Main Menu
* Go back to the Installed Content Tab
* Click the empty square next to the DLC to get the checkmark back and reenable the DLC.
* Load the new save you made.

Tigress....give yourself a few points extra points in cunning....That did the trick..I was in camp...followed your steps above...and I see Dryden and the soldier's peak ! in camp.

How sad that this thread was a year ago and this bug still hasn't been fixed. Guess EA/Bioware have been working on DA2 and don't care about DAO any longer.
Soldier's Peak quest worked fine the first 2 times I played through, but on this 3rd one I'm not seeing it on the map any more.
I also lost all the feast day pranks / gifts (though Bodahn still had the quest icon over his head), but I unchecked the DLC, saved and when I restarted and rechecked them it worked again. Unfortunately that hasn't worked for Soldier's Peak though.
Getting lots of crashes to desktop too, it seems to be worse this time around as well - usually partway through a fight.

Hm.
You have 1.04 patch? (I'm guessing as it's only way to make the DLC work IIRC).
Is it on all your saved games? Meaning if you loaded something after you left Lothering, is it still not there?
Are you getting disconnected from the EA server while playing? Not sure if that might do it.
