I am hoping that eventually the weapon descriptions will be changed to fit the platform in which the game is being played, but until that happens, a list would be useful.

I have Horizons installed aand am using Tutu. I am acquiring some good weapons. The problem is that the weapons have their proficiencies labelled as per the vanilla game. (Cutlasses and sabres for instance are shown as large or small swords. Presumably they have been changed to long swords, short swords etc. Does anybody know of a list of the various weapons along with the proficiency type that they have been given for the Tutu game?

With my BGT experiences, there actually still is a "large sword" proficiency road (meaning: a character had 2 points in that and could use corresponding weapons (that were using the BG2 proficiency system) as if he had 2 points in them.
Why don't you try saving, putting a point into one of the possible proficiency types and see what happens to your THAC0?
