Given that my Warden is dead, I hope so. It was annoying enough that I would have to retcon my Warden's death if I wanted to import my choices into Awakenings, but having to do so for a full sequel would really annoy me.
Bought awakening a while back and havnt got round to playing it yet, can you not import your choices and start a new warden from Orlais? if not that sucks big time and someone needs to make a mod
oh sorry btw bit off topic

No. The Orlais warden comes with its own preset history that will not reflect the decisions your dead warden made.
awwww i feel so cheated
On topic, i wouldnt mind if the wardens storys over, defeating the archdemon is enough for one persons life, let him/her retire in peace:)

I understand this. I found myself marvelling that the NPCs all treated my female dwarf like a dwarf, and a female. They refered to me as SHE and HER. I was so pleasantly surprised. Recording dialogue for every race and gender must have taken a ton of effort. The outcome, however, was just amazing. Imagine adding decisions I made on top of that. I wouldn't be surprised though if the reason our warden was benched was because the extra race dialogue took too much effort when most people seem to prefer playing humans.ziggehunderslash wrote...
I think the general vibe is that they'd love to fully explore the consequences of your actions from previous games, it's just not practical for them to do so, and so they pick and choose, doing what they can in order to preserve a sense of continuity.

Seriously, you bring back Morrigan in the future and write the Wardens off thats a Viconia level kick in the balls. If they want the "no canon" approach to mean anything they've got to account for this in a meaningful way whenever Morrigan comes back into the picture.
Cause if the series just devolves into a NWN style scenario where each story is just a new PC with little connection to the past while leaving massive cliffhangers and unresolved plots that only start at the end of the game (DR), that will get old really quick.

I hope so. It ended well enough and now it is time to move on.
You're a progressive sort.
@ Brockololly. What If they switched gears again in DA3, and got rid of Hawke? I dunno, I might be okay with it since the series is officially schizophrenic now.
Relying on the setting rather than key players just might work.

I sure hope not seeing as my Warden is perfectly alive and well, chilling with Morrigan and Old God Baby in Mirror World.

i dont think that will happen......dragon age same as mass will have a trilogy story....i dont mean that dragon age 3 will be the last, but it will provide some closure in my opinion, and the game will provide some answers at your warden.

What I'd love to see would be if the Warden returned as the PC along with Hawke as PC. So break it up in chapters or something such that you can play as both Hawke and the Warden.
