I recently realized that I can no longer update to the site because I have exceeded my file maximum. Unfortunately, the files causing me to exceed the maximum are non-existent screenshots.

I have deleted all of my screenshots, most of my personal photos, and all of my PC characters in an attempt to clear out 'phantom' screenshot files. BSN says I have 60 screenshots and this is putting me over the file limit. I cannot re-upload my characters properly and hence have no avatar. I have been trying to fix this and am getting insanely frustrated.

Notes: I have also deleted all of my screenshots in the actual game menu as well. I have also deleted all of my console screenshots and a few of those characters even though I believe the console file maximum is separate from the PC maximum.

Let me know if I am not making any sense. I am at my wits end, and hence, nearly witless.

I had that happen to me too. The site didn't recognise that I'd deleted most of my screenshots. Unfortunately I don't have an answer. All I did was log in a few weeks later to discover that my screenshots were still in the system, they deleted properly the second time around. I believe every once in a while some kind of system integrity check will correct the problem, but that's just speculation.

Thank you for the response. Hopefully time will work as a cure for me as well. :)

It's been at least four days now. I really hope it resolves itself soon. I miss having a face. What a shame that I have both the XBOX and PC versions of the game and neither will upload properly...

I managed to get the xbox to upload one avatar picture after loading/changing armor/saving every on of my characters, but this still doesn't solve the problem. PC version still shows 60 phantom screenshots.

Im having this issue. I had no idea how to get at my screenies any other way, so i clicked for them to upload, and they did. I saved those on my comp and went in game to delete them to repeat the process, but its not showing :(

Is there a way i can simply take them from the game to my comp?

Apparently no one has any answers for us, Namira. I have PM'd moderators, but received no response, thus far.

It seems there are a few of us experiencing similar problems Image IPB - my post a few days ago:
http://social.biowar...8/index/5256792
Nobody offered any advice there so I'll tag along with you and see if anything turns up here.

They are already on your computer:

Lol, maybe theyre busy dealing with all the messed up Ultimate Editions Image IPB

Think im gonna have to go to the screenshots folder and create a new folder on the BSN, then just upload and delete that way...

Thanks Meta, i was certain i had a flick through that folder to look for them after first taking some Image IPB momentary idiocy me thinks

@Dragon- I also posted this on your topic-

Since it only reports 8 Screenshots, you may be able to solve your problem another way. Under profile diagnostics see which characters have the most extra files. Delete those under manage characters. Re-upload your character. Hopefully, if you do this a few times you will be under your file maximum, but it still doesn't solve your phantom screenshot problem.

Thanks for that November,
OK so this was my profile diagnostic:
Image IPB
and I deleted several characters giving this:
Image IPB
and this is the character manager after editing/deleting characters:
Image IPB
The first four characters on profile diagnostic do not exist on the character screen!!!!!!!
They are accounting for 13 phantom files...and I have those 8 screenshots that do not exist in the screenshot album - which is empty/blank

Thanks for the advice Image IPB.
It has reduced my files, but I am still left with 'deleted characters' on my profile diagnostic.
These deleted characters have shown on this file for months since deletion
I do not even remember having Antonia's 3 and 4?????

Well it's nearly a week now without any sign of life on this thread.
I have posted my problem on the bioware.com help forum.
If anything does come from it I'll update

It appears that there is a work around to remove phantom characters from your profile, see:
http://social.biowar.../6/index/583965
Thanks to Darth Midville, and Snoteye/Arlana Tabris for the link.
I'll try this out later.
However, it appears that there is no solution for phantom screenshots yet.
Hopefully there will be one soon .

Is it possible for me to be just given more space until the issue is resolved???

Seriously. Only 50 files allowed, yet, with 50 files I only take up 6.50 mb and the capacity is 100mb. Give us more room until this issue is resolved.

I know that Dragon Age 2 is coming out and technical issues tend to stop being attended to with the older games...but come on. Don't let EA consume your soul. They're bastards, but you guys still have souls. Help us.

(I replied to this earlier, but the internets lost it.)

Thank you, legend. Well said. They don't have to give us more space, just more allowed files.

Bumped!

Having the same problem with phantom screen shots. I've been holding off leveling my mage because of this. It really wouldn't be half the the problem it is if they just kept the cap at 100 files... but what ever... I don't run things...

Anyway! Anyone happen to know if you register a Dragon Age Ultimate Edition along side a normal copy if it doubles the cap. Or just ignores one of the copies? Assuming they're both of the same platform of course.
