Obviously this only applies to those with their warden still in limbo.

Many of the threads I've read from complainants seem to all share a common grievance.

I've garnered It's not the fact that they particularly NEED the warden as a  PC throughout 'ALL'  the DA franchise.

It is merely that their character is left in Limbo with no real expectancy due to complexity and continuity, of appearing in a future iteration. As such they feel their story is cut short and been pointless .

IMO this appears to be the major concern of those otherwise very happy Dragon age fans.

I feel it's all unnecersary and avoidable.People would prefer closure for their Warden as it certainly seems it's this very  very significant hinderance thats not allowing them to move forward and continue to enjoy the franchise.

Personally instead of allowing negativity to fester amongst Bioware's customerbase,it would be prudent to bring some closure to the Warden story.Doing so frees the developer to take DA franchise in other directions without having to deal with this later in the story.

So I ask...would players be happy if one last short DLC was compiled  killing the warden off for good !

For instance....You walk away from the mirror and are killed by a vengefull flemeth...or you don't make it on your journey through the mirror and die in Morrigans arms..

This is only to garner a general consensus of opinion from those of us with their Warden alive...I'm not suggesting that it will have any influence over the developers decisions as DA2 is pretty much finished anyway.

But  peoples concerns about how they would prefer this situation to be resolved...are at least coherent to Bioware.

So .. would one last Origins DLC please you and release you to enjoy future iterations?

Nah, I dont want to be a Warden anymore. Unless the DLC allows the Warden to explicitly leave the Wardens, then I'll pass.

And your desire to not be a warden stems from...?

...an explanation that would be entirely off topic for this thread?

I'd call death explicitly leaving the Wardens.

Are you referring to the ultimate sacrifice? Or proposing that a DLC resulting in the Warden's death would work for me? If it's the former, well, yeah but that presents continuity issues for a post-Blight DLC. If it's the latter, maybe.

Only if the death is cool.

And the DLC isn't overpriced rubbish like most DLC is.

I don't want official closure for the Warden. Imagining his post-Blight adventures is so much more entertaining.

I'm noting that a DLC where you die no matter what your ending was, as per the OP suggestion, would fit under leaving the Wardens.

I'm not suggesting that would work for you.

I'd rather they focus on making their major releases as good as they can. That no doubt keeps them busy enough.

What happens to the wardern is actually one of the lesser "loose ends" for me. Possibly because mine died fighting an archdemon, but also because that was his story. If he survived you know that it's only a matter of time before he ends his life surrounded by darkness. What he did in between? Fought some more? I'm not sure settling down and raising a family on a farm is an option. Maybe as the Warden Commander he spends the rest of his days in an administrative position. Maybe people come from far and wide to see the glorious filing system he develops.

I'm not sure it matters, or is needed for closure. What the Blight are, what the awakening means, what's Morrigan up to, is Flemeth truly dead, these things and more seem far more relavent, and maybe, just maybe, they'll get around to them.

Not interested. After seeing all the post "Return to Ostagar" DLC and Awakening, I cannot help wonder if maybe it should have stopped at RtO. Origins had the most satisfying endings in my opinion. Awakening muddied that up and Witch Hunt is largely superfluous. The rest were filler content. The Warden's story is so screwy at this point I rather she was quietly forgotten. Hopefully BioWare learned from all this and takes a very different approach to "Dragon Age 2" DLC.

Or better yet, they don't bother with it at all. The quality of dlc is a crap shoot with just about any company.

While that might be an ideal situation, slimgrin, I think it is an unrealistic expectation. We are so going to see DLC, like it or not. ;)

As long as the DLC is more Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker than Return to Ostagar and Witch Hunt... I'll be happy to give them my money for them.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the DLC for a fixed protagonist seemed to be better done than one that tried to appeal to players with a wildly different collection of Origins, romances, and endings...

After Witch Hunt, no. I bought that and expected some type of closure, but the only thing you learned was that Morrigan used a mirror. It was more or less a waste of money and time. I am now looking forward to DA2 to tie up some cliffhangers.

It won't happen. And you're in the wrong forum for this discussion. I expect this thread will get moved... or locked, because of the number of threads on this topic already.

Well I have always wanted to see a DLC that covers our Warden receiving their calling and the events surrounding it. But Witch Hunt kinda messed that up, unless they had an ultimate sacrifice kinda deal where those whose Warden went off with Morrigan... Didn't.

But yeah while they have already said that Witch Hunt was the last (I believe?) I would always welcome Origins DLC, because dayam I love that game.

One last DLC? Only if I can walk off into the sunset of death with Leliana at my side.

Regardless of the story, for me it would be mostly a question of quality.

If it's on the same quality level of the other DA:O DLC's I would absolutely inglore it. I've wasted too many euros on the worthless DA:O's DLC (I save only Leliana's Song).

Instead, I would buy a DLC that it's on the same quality level of the Shadow Broker.

The only warden supported stuff I might support is if they release a pre-DA2 dlc of the Warden's calling and you import your warden just to murder darkspawn to try out the new combat system.

No, I want more. Than a 50 minute DLC.
