Custom Items - No properties

Hello there,

I made custom items using this (Incredibly useful) guide.
social.bioware.com/5339/blog/576/

My only problem is the properties of the items, they appear just the way I made them but all of the properties I put on them are appearing as zero?

E.g
(can't insert picture)
Custom Sword
+0 Strengh
+0 Health Regen
+0 Maga Regen
+0 Armour penetration

It has this for all the custom Items I made, boots, helm, armour. All with different attributes, but all at zero. Help!

If I am not mistaken you need to add a value for the power of each property when you add it to the item.

Ah excellent, thank you!

My second problem is that my custom dragonbone items don't have any rune slots!

I've set both the 'materialtype' and 'materialprogression' to 'Armour, dragonbone'

Check the variables. There's a variable about enabling runes. Set it to 1.

Attributes > Variables > Item_rune_enabled > Set this Value to 1.



And nothing happened :/

Hold tight, can you even have runes in armour?
I'm trying to put it on my Massive Plate armour Dragonbone

(original version, I have awakening but not installed it yet)

If I can't, is there a mod I can get to add rune slots to my armour and stuff?

The variable setting is correct, but I suspect the material type and progression need to be "Weapon, dragonbone".
At any rate, AFAIK runes apply to weapons.

The number of rune slots is determined by the materialrules 2DA in the materialtypes spreadsheet.

I don't know if there's a way around it in the toolset, but you can't add runes to armor without Awakening and the mod Awakening in the OC. But the weapon rune slots will show up by just setting the variable Item_rune_enabled to 1 as long as your material and material progression are upper level tiers.
