Sorry but I played through MS2 and everyone survived but when I go through it a second time Miranda v Jack stage with paragon to max I can't resolve the fight so I was wondering is it a bug in the system or what.

If you did ME2 NG+ you don't receive your renegade/paragon bonuses from the ME1 import IIRC. Take a look at this.

EDIT: Also, this topic should probably be in the ME2 spoilers section.

Sorry didn't know where to put it but I imported it from MS1 my first play through but the second play through is the continuation of the MS2 first play through.
