Hi, so I've got two problems.

First, in playing Awakening with a human male orlesian warden, I've gotten through the Blackmarsh Undying without a hitch.  However, on being sent back to Blackmarsh by the Baroness, something goes seriously wrong.  This being my first playthrough of Awakening, I've read that there's a cutscene that is supposed to trigger involving Justice.  No such cutscene happens.  When I talk to justice, he tells me I should go find out what happened to the Baroness.  So I fight my way back through the Blackmarsh swamp to the town, see the Baroness standing in front of her gate, and talk to her.

The game then plays the same cutscene that sent me back to Blackmarsh (non-Undying).  Except everything is messed up-- the voices are playing , but only the baroness is there, and the camera is inside the ground or something- all sorts of weird clipping and viewpoint issues, plus the whole thing is taking place in Blackmarsh Real- which it shouldn't be doing!  The sending sends me to the top of a mountaintop overlooking Blackmarsh.  What the heck!?  Any suggestions on what I could do to fix this?

Problem number two:  Frustrated at being unable to fix this glitch by replaying Blackmarsh Undying, I started a new character in Orgins, a female, city elf.  I played until the Korcari wilds, where people began calling me "young man" and "young lad."  I think there's something seriously wrong with my game... :(

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: update here, so I don't keep talking to myself with a quintuple post...  Fyi, I do not have the toolset installed.  From browsing other topics, that seems to be a common problem for gender bugs, but it's not what's going on here.

Also, this might apply: I recently reloaded my old Human (MALE) Noble warden who made the ultimate sacrifice to explore possible ways of not dying. When Morrigan made her offer, she made it only concerning Alistair- which I remember was definitely not the case during that warden's playthrough. She most definitely offered it to me, and I turned it down. Now, however, she's not offering it! Why...? It makes me wonder if the game has suddenly decided to consider my characters' genders reversed. I haven't noticed any such references in Awakening, but there seem to be fewer gender-specific lines in Awakening than Origins.

Wow, yet another, possibly related problem: Just started a dwarf commoner, went through the origin and got to meeting Cailan. Apparently I'm a human commoner from the Western hills- a farmhold near Redcliffe. What the hell is wrong with my game??

If  this helps, here are pics of what mods I have installed in my addins and override folders:
Addins:

Override (Dracomies True Textures and Dragon Age Redesigned not pictured due to massive size--though I don't see how either of those mods could have caused my current problems):

Also, it seems like this forum section is fairly dead... Should I move this to the general discussion forum?

Help would really be appreciated if there is in fact anyone out there.  I would really like to get back to playing Dragon Age! :(

Have you done anything with the toolset?

Unrelated to the toolset, you might want to try these and see if it helps, with backup of course:
# Deleting/renaming My Documents\\\\\\\\Bioware\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\Modules\\\\\\\\Single Player directory if it exists
# Removing (with a backup) anything in the packages\\\\\\\\core\\\\\\\\override directories.
Both are in the My Documents\\\\\\\\Bioware\\\\\\\\Dragon Age path and in your Dragon Age installation path
Hope this helps

Nope, I haven't even downloaded the toolset. Looking through similar problems to the gender confusion I'm experiencing, those were often caused by editing through the toolset.

I'll try deleting/removing those files and see how it goes! Thanks!

Hmm, I wasn't able to find the My Documents\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Bioware\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Modules\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Single Player folder you were talking about. The closest thing I located was in the Program Files\\Dragon Age directory and looks fairly important--stuff with patches and data in it. Is that what I should delete?

No.

If it does not exist there then leave alone.

As you say, the single player directory in the game folders has patch data etc.

So, I've managed to fix 2 of the 3 problems (gender confusion and human commoner class replacement)! What I did was (and I'm not sure if all of the following was necessary) nuke my core\\override folder, followed by the purging of all non-official Bioware modules in the addins folder. Then I uninstalled, reinstalled, and played the games after force-loading the save files. My correct genders and origins were recognized! Hooray!

I'll update here if/when I solve the Blackmarsh looping bug. I have yet to reinstall Awakening.

Final update! I've solved the Blackmarsh glitch. I had to reinstall (AGAIN) after removing all mods. Then I replaced each mod one by one. None of them appeared to be causing the problems as I replaced every one of them. Weird.
