Hello,

I've made my own class following a guide I found online, which has lead me to the next problem.

I want to make a Arcane Warrior/ Warrior class.

The base class being a warrior. I also want the class to cast various spells such as stoneskin, haste, flame weapon and a few other fun ones.

I only want certain stat tree's available, I believe they would be the 'Two handed weapons' and 'Primal' trees.

How would I do this?

There is a 2DA called guitypes.xls. In ABI_base.xls, each ability has a gui type and a often a prerequisite. Guitypes meanwhile has an entry for the ability that makes the guitype display. Example:

Guitypes 20 has ability 1 as its requirement. So you give your character ability 1 in character creation when you want them to be able to see that tree. This is often the class ability. Your abilities, from left to right in the tree are 2 3 4 and 5. So 2 should have no prerequisite ability (0), 3 should have 2, 4 should have 3, 5 should have 4.

To get these abilities to show, I believe you may have to duplicate the rows in ABI_Base and modify them accordingly.

Look up the wiki about 2DAs and character generation, perhaps.

There is one thing I don't understand is how things like two weapon style and so forth work. This might be a better way for what you want to do than duplicating abilities. The problem is that, if you look in GUItypes, some things like dual weapon fighting, have no ability listed. The first ability in the tree doesn't have a prereq either. So I'm not sure where exactly is says "Warriors and Rogues can use this."

Thank you so much for your reply!

I'll research this in greater depth very shortly, is there any information you know on spell types?

I've discovered that a character can only be a 'Mana' type or a 'Stamina' type.

I was looking to edit certain spells to drain stamina instead of mana.

Thank you Fergus!
