So I just had a quick question. On my first playthrough, I wanted to try to get all the specializations out of the way but when I realized I missed out on the reaver spec due to spoiling the ashes, needless to say I was irked. But this is gonna seem like a dumb question but once I agree to use the blood on the ashes and yada yada, am I able to take a pinch to save the Arl and then ruin it since it wouldn't make sense to spoil it and then take a pinch.

You know, I honestly don't know. You can save the game before spoiling the ashes, spoil them, go get Reaver, and then reload the save, take the pinch and go on your merry way.

Yes, you can pinch, then spoil.
The Reaver leader tells you this explicitly. You tell him you need it, he tells you that you only need a pinch and can spoil the rest.
As far as I'm aware, it's impossible to do it any other way. As you need Redcliffe and the Arl, which means you have to pinch. And the game isn't going to trap you into being unable to beat it.

Even if you don't choose the option to take a pinch, you'll do so before spoiling them automatically.
