Wrex - tank with biotics. Big brother. "Shepard"

Kaidan - I prefer to have sentinel in squad. And yes, very biased.

Kasumi - rapid shadow strike, dialogues.

Samara - powerful biotic with assault rifle. Do want!

Zaeed - from pure soldiers I love them most. Falls into category "should hade but like instead"

Legion - my choice among snipers and techs. Widow. Facial plates. "Shepard-Commander?"

This is assuming that I'm Shepard and a biotic and tech-savvy badass with an assault rifle, and not based on what powers these characters have gameplay-wise but rather how they would be portrayed in the actual universe.

1. Nihlus. Best spectre on the force, can be a great warrior and all-round soldier.
2. Jacob. He is loyal, a biotic, and would be great to fight side-by-side with.
3. Miranda. She is smart, competent and makes a good second in command and tactician.
4. Kasumi. Tech specialist, her ninja skills could offer alternative solutions to missions.
5. Tela Vasir. Biotic, spectre. Enough said.
6. Garrus. Loyal, long-range fighter of the squad and able to use tech powers in combat as well.

And Joker. The team would need someone to pilot the Normandy. And EDI.

Tali - Needs me mah shotgun-toting engineer.  Can hack anything, anytime and anywhere.
Garrus - Fills out my trio that got me through the first mess.  Dependable under fire.
Legion - Robo-engineer-sniper, GO!
Samara - Badass biotic warrior with superb assault rifle skills. Nuff said.
Wrex - Grunt's good, but Wrex is better!  Portable battering ram, could be useful!
Joker - Without a qualified pilot, myself and my squad would never get where we need to.  Shepard may be the savior of the galaxy, but I'm sure (s)he has a terrible sense of direction =D

Hah, well this is a coincidence Cheez. I had thought to make this exact thread the other day, yet got distracted playing ME2. Anyhow...

Squad

1. Garrus (He is my bro and despite what Miranda thinks, the Normandy's OX)
2. Wrex (My epic krogan. They game is just not the same without his constant dry wit)
3. Ash/Kaidan (I am placing them in the same category for obvious reasons. Beyond that, I liked their characters respectively)
4. Kasumi (Easily one of my favorite characters, and Shadow Strike is bloody broken)
5. Jacob (Despite his criticism, I rather fancied his character. Hopefully ME3 builds on it. He is my ME2 Bro)
6. Miranda (Solid character and strong potential for further development on a more emotional level. Her combat benefits are awesome)

Honorable mentions

Jack (Probably one of my favorite characters, especially her romance. So much development potential if handled well.)
Zaeed (Seriously, it cannot get much more badass than him.)

NPCs

Aria (Easily my favorite in the series and would love to see her return. In actuality, if we must have new squad mates. I insist on Aria being among them.)
Anderson (Close to Anderson, love his character)
Kal' Reeger (Badass Quarian)
Liara (Yes, I believe she may be better suited here, as my informant)
Turian Councilor (Honestly, even a five second insult is enough. He simply has to be around though)
Conrad Vener (Trademark joke of the series and we must have one more chance to mock him in the conclusion. Hell I would love to see him doing something useful merely for shock value)

With only six to choose from, here's my list:

1. Miranda - well rounded, handles herself very well in battle, great squad support (one of my 'main' 2 MaleShep's LI)

2. Ash - pure soldier, willing to make the sacrifice if necessary, good banter (other one of my 'main' 2 MaleShep's LI)

3. Garrus - he's my bro, need the sniping skills, good second team leader

4. Wrex - he's the only PURE Krogan imo / 'nuff said

5. Tali - best tech specialist, gotta have Chiktikka in the mix

6. Liara - brains, powerful biotic, loyal... what more could you ask for?

Kasumi - good in a fight, great banter, cute personality

Jack - tough as nails attitude, powerful biotic, nothing shy about her

Not exactly a top list since I can't put them in order for the life of me^^ Anyway, these six would be on my team.



Garrus - naturally. My favorite ever since we first met in the Citadel. Also my Shep's BFF.



Wrex - 'nuff said.



Legion - made of awesome. I wish he had a bigger role in ME2.



Nihlus/Saren - I so wish we had one of them. Can't decide which one--though, I think I'd go for Saren. Imagine the dialogues he'd have with Shep.



Tali - Shep's best friend, very loyal and an awesome tech expert.



Matriarch bartender - for the lulz. Plus we need a good biotic. And I bet she'd make a great squadmate!

Six. Dream team it is.

Kaidan - I like him and he was one of the few who seldom got knocked out and I found his skills useful no matter what my class was

Tali - OK Tali, I just like her and I love the combat drone and that she gave it a name.

Garrus - I've found his overload ability very useful and I do like snipers.

Jack - I use her shockwave a lot.

Legion - I find you can never have too many combat drones.

Mordin - I took him with me a lot. His Incinerate and cryo blast were great.



Others:

Kal' Reeger

A female turian would be nice.

Gianna

Kahlee from the book - she is a scientist and Anderson - I'd like to see some other "couples" for some different kind of conversations.

Someone mentioned the poetry reading Krogan and I'd like to include his asari girlfriend. That would be an interesting combination to have in the group.
