Having a weird problem with Baldur's Gate. I reinstalled it yesterday (It's the 3 disc version with the expansion) and everything was running fine. Then today it was having problems launching, so I tried to uninstalled it. Now the uninstaller was having problems too, so ultimately I ended up having to remove it with add/remove programs. When I went to install it again, after taking the third disc for a few seconds the installer would just up and quit. Checking the file (Program > Black Isle > Baldur's Gate) showed that two files remained: Override and Register. I can't do anything with these files. Can't delete, move, rename, take ownership (won't even tell me who owns it!), modify permissions, etc. Is there a way to remove these or do I have to reinstall Windows 7?
Also, managed to reinstall Baldur's Gate by making a folder in Black Isle and installing it there.
Can't remove BG1 files

Your problem is most likely due to traces of your installation left in your registry. You can either remove those registry entries manually or use a program like CCleaner or Regcleaner to remove them.

What would they be called? I've tried looking for ones the old forum suggested, but they're not there

Try using this: http://www.majorgeek...ownload460.html. Regcleaner wiil find them for you, but you still have to remove them manually. Don't forget to check the 'Back up' too.
