That's what you get for buying from Ebay. You're always at risk of buying from a criminal when you don't buy from a legitimate store.

Why would I go to a store when I thought I was soley buying a code that you could no longer purchase in stores? If EA had a store on Xbox Live offering the things from the CE then everything would be different. There are legitimate stores on eBay and this looked like one of them with over 540 sales without one complaint, and the codes worked. That's what's weird. If they were fraudulent why did they get accepted and what differences in my case and BTCentral's would cause such polar opposite decisions by EA in the end? I wouldn't even care if they took off the CE stuff if that is what caused the problem. EA just won't say which code caused the problem, only that one of them is fraudulent.

I'm sorry to hear that it did not get resolved for you too Sidney - you have actually had a reply from the support staff that sorted it out for me, so I am guessing you really are out of luck

The weeks of debates are over. I finally got one of the initial guys I talked to in my earlier support emails to answer again (their whole staff knows me by now) and he said as a one time courtesy they would fix it. After a long battle of words I finally see something for all the money that they did see from my legitimate purchases, though I never got a straight answer as to which specific code messed me up. A mystery for the ages.

Glad to hear it all got sorted out for you too in the end - I think we both learnt never to buy Digital Download editions on eBay etc. again!

And I noticed a big*we wont be able to help you with fraudulent codes* up on the eadm.

*shakes head* (24.95 is the ea store price for the pc dde USA edition)
