In the event that my computer were to crash or I was to get a new one, would I be able to back up and transfer my old save files to my new computer and play them normally?

More of a "just in case" question, since my poor computer probably won't last much longer.

EDIT: Also, how many times can I reinstall Mass Effect (1 and 2) with the same code?  It'd be a shame to have to buy a new copy just because I had to get a new computer...

Do what I did. Write out an email to anyone, attach the save game files (as many as the email can take without a heart failure). And save them to your drafts folder. Viola! They are then safe online instead of on your PC.

Remember NOT to send said email.

yes...so long as you place the right files in the right locations there should be no problems.

I have my save files in very place possible that can store binary data, I even have a copy on my mobile phone =]

Thanks, guys. With my computer quickly becoming outdated I was concerned. Here's to hoping I can reinstall the ME series without having to buy new copies...

ME1 I know that there is a limit on 2 or 5 activaions on diffrent computers and as for ME2 I think it's unlimited? so long as one computer has one copy running? I'm not too sure about ME2 however I have had no troubles when reinstalling 3 times due HDD issues.
