Kestrel Armour is the armour to use.
Without it the enemies they would abuse,
My Poor Commander Shepard in N7 armour,
Who upon being shot, would feel like canon fodder.

You can get pretty much any armor off of Ebay (for a hefty price).
Regardless, I have all of them (except the Blood Dragon Armor, which I will get sometime soon) and I use the Terminus Armor and the Collector Armor the most because they are intimidating and have good stats.

I used the Collector's armour once and quickly ditched it. I didn't much care for it as the benefits were marginal and it was butt ugly. I constantly use the Collector assault rifle, however.

I have them all. I use the standard armor with accessories focused on power damage, reducing cooldowns and shields. I like the way it looks, and it improves my powers a decent amount.

I use the default N7 armor most of the time. I use the Kestrel set minus the helm on Haestrom because I play it on hardcore so I'll get the Geth Pulse Rifle. I use the Cerberus Armor for main missions that require a sealed suit. I use the Terminus suit for N7 Missions.

I have Collector, Blood Dragon, Cerberus and Terminus Armor. I try to alternate between the 4 of them and N-7 Armor throughout the game. I find I tend to use n-7 the most though.

Aegis and Cerberus. I chose Aegis partly for good stats and also to avoid wearing a hideous helmet, so I combined it with the Kuwashii visor.

I have all the armour including the Dr.Pepper Dlc all except the Collector stuff. I only ever wear the Kestrel however as its the best one by a stretch. Id love to get my hands on the Collector just to pokemon all the amours but Im not paying out a whole kidney on E-bay.

N7 and Kestrel armor without helmet. Problem with Kestrel armor is only that it completely outclasses everything else, so that there would be no sense of progression (for the armor) throughout the whole game.

I like to vary a lot. lately I used the Kestrel a lot plus the sentry interface (don't like the Kestrel helmet at all).
My renegade Shep used the Terminus a lot.
The only one I never use is the collector armor (too ugly and stats suck).

I have the Kestrel, Blood Dragon, Cerberus and Inferno Armor.
At first I used the Kestrel Armor + Kuwashii Visor for most parts of the game ... until I noticed that the Kestrel armor ammo belt makes my SMG clip through the armor, essentially, half of the weapon disappears within the left leg.
From that point on, I experimented with Kestrel + N7 leg armor. Didn't look right. Now I'm using N7 mix and match + Kuwashii Visor.
Yes, the Kestrel stats are really great for my Vanguard, but I still prefer to have everything look right. I didn't notice any increase in difficulty when I switched to N7 armor. May be all the upgrades compensate it.
Edit: Typos.

I have Terminus, Inferno, Blood Dragon, Cerberus, and Kestrel armor. I also have the Equalizer and Dr. Pepper headgear. As cool as the Terminus and Blood Dragon armors look, I hate not being able to take off the helmets, so I usually mix and match various armor pieces until I get something that looks cool. 10% bonuses aren't that big, anyway, so who cares?

I always use the kestrel armor. It's the best. The coolest looking is Blood Dragon Armor, though.

I usually use (as a soldier)
No Helmet (unless it's automatically put by the game on some missions); Capacitor Chestplate; Amplifier Plates;Stabilization Gaunlets;Life Support Webbing. In addition I like to paint my armor totally in black without any additional painting. Sometimes I like to recreate good old (actual) woodland moro. I have also paid a lot to have every possible DLC in this game

I have the Inferno, Terminus, Collectors, Cerberus, Kestrel and Blood Dragon, but I only ever use the N7 armour with visor, due to the retarded lack of a helmet toggle.

Kestrel Armour for all my Shepards
Sentry visor, the visor included in the main game or no headgear, depands on the Shepard.
