what armor sets you own and what one do you use the most?

Other than that I tend to mix and match pieces quite often, I generally don't take much notice of the stat bonuses at all. I often use the asymmetric shoulders or defence boost pads and the aegis vest, kuwashii visor and ammo/ordnance packs.
I'm not keen on the life support webbing or stablization gauntlets, so they don't get a look in too often.

This is what my characters look like currently:

I refuse to use Kestrel armour as its overpowered, gets handed to you straight away rendering nearly all pieces useless and doesnt look that good IMO.

Also try to guess what classes my characters are. I try to match up their style with their class.

Sentinels make good tanks so I wanted to go for a bulky look. Also the tech armour is orange and clashes with most colours so I wanted the colour scheme to suit the tech armour as you have it activitated all the time.

When my Vanguard Shepard was still using Kestrel armor, black with dark grey camo pattern was my preferred color scheme. It just made the most sense concerning the environments Shepard is fighting in.
When I changed to N7 mix and match, that scheme didn't do it anymore, especially because the stripe on the right arm looks deeply boring in grey.
So, after all, I'm now using Kuwashii Visor, Asymmetric Defense Layer, Shield Harness, Off-Hand Ammo Pack and standard N7 Greaves, everything colored black with dark grey trims and no pattern except the stripe on the right arm, but now dark red instead of that glowing standard red.
All in all, it's like a powered up, subdued night-ops N7 armor. Best of both worlds, feels N7 and spectreish.

What I use the most is obviously the most awesome of them all....the Kestrel armor.

Not like there was a sense of progression for armor in ME2 anyways. Kestral armor is basically the first real upgrade you get armorwise unless you are a biotic or techie.Vena_86 wrote...
N7 and Kestrel armor without helmet. Problem with Kestrel armor is only that it completely outclasses everything else, so that there would be no sense of progression (for the armor) throughout the whole game.

Archon Visor
Shield Harness
Amplifier Plates
Heavy Damping Gauntlets
Life Support Webbing
I used that on my female Sentinel Shepard. Awesome recharge time on powers and shields. And the shields were solid too. Next Sentinel I make will focus almost entirely on shield power.
N7 (Black, Blue)
None
Aegis Vest
Asymetric Defense Layer
Off Hand Ammo Pack
Life Support Webbing
This setup I used on my male Soldier. My intention is to keep my health really high assuming if I peek my head out my shields are gonna vanish anyways. Add in Hardened Adrenaline Rush, and even if I'm outnumbered, I can gun someone down or run away and afford to take some hits.
I only need the Blood Dragon Armor, but my favourite is the Terminus Assault Armor.

I've got all the armor plus some mixing and matching for some unique looking helmets

the helmet changes for missions or when i grow bored of looking at it.
no shoulder pads (don't like em, and use the slot for another helm piece)
Capacitor Chestplate or the Aegis Vest (mostly the capacitor (i hated it but it grew on me))
Off-Hand Ammo Pack
N7 Greaves or Life Support Webbing (mostly default greaves)

Sometimes I mix the Kestrel with the Aegis Vest and visor/N7 helm when I want to see that badass N7 logo.
