I've been reading mixed responses on the forum. Seems that most of the content is geared for multiplayer. Probably a good thing the US version was delayed too. Gives the developers a few months to fix any problems in the European version and apply to the US.
Multiplayer, really, for this game? I had no idea it had multiplayer.
I was most unimpressed by the first one.

I haven't played the first since I heard it was mostly crap. What kind of game should we expect from the second one though? Is it a sandbox style game like Oblivion?
If I'm not mistaken the first one was so I'd assume the second would be as well.

There should be a demo around, but I never found where.

Edit : btw, for those interested, the protagonist of TW2 has chest hair.

The interface is absolutely horrible and the camera seemed titled towards the left (like for left handed people) which really annoyed me that I didn't see an option to change that.
The character creator is pretty limited and no matter how hard I tried the main character looked ugly as hell. Also his personality really sucked as well as his VA.
The graphics seemed ok, but I didn't care about that. Dialogue and story are what I value, and those seemed pretty boring (the cinematics were nice though)
The fighting is as bad as in the first game. The whole gameplay felt pretty bad and clunky.

Really? Ooh, that makes it cooler. Still, it was a nice change to see that some women play much more important roles in TW2. Never got why they have to wear latex armors and robes...virumor wrote...

Which is why I won't be buying Two Worlds 2. Too much content is locked out for the single player game.

Seriously.
And further more, it seems to me that any game that tries to boast itself as being " Morrowind or Oblivian" like have been epic fails.
Only people that come close to such heights is BioWare --- the only thing that holds back Bethesda from being a perfect 10 is its lack of character immersion in their huge worlds. Lots of empty space and whistling trees along with repetitious voice and character designs.

What's missing is the island in the middle (only 20% of it is explorable) - which is actually most likely part of an expansion or DLC obviously. It's a greater improvement upon the original voice acting and graphic wise but still maintains the original and traditional RPG elements. If you type up "Two Worlds II Vs Gothic 4 or Oblivion" you will seriously be surprised and just because you didn't like the first one, doesn't mean you can't like the second.
Unlike some companies *coughbethesdacough* Reality Pump actually listened to feedback and when making Two Worlds II they put in what people liked and took out what people hated from the first game and added what people wanted.
Two Worlds I & II shouldn't be compared to Oblivion anyway - Two Worlds has traditional RPG elements where fighting a dragon at Level One will have it hand your ass back to you, while later on at a high level - you'll be able to kill a dragon with one hit. In Oblivion - you can be LV 50 with 100 + strength and the most powerful weapon in the game and you have to give people 5 hits to kill them - they can also knock you over (all NPCs in Oblivion get the knock down skill soon enough).

I'm going to take a leap of faith. I'll buy this game and hope that it's good.
I think it'll be a good filler title. There is a 15 minute gameplay vid floating around the IGN website (it's from late summer).

I don't want to one shot everything at max level or near it, but have a constant challenge. Since TWII is free roam, I'd rather there not be a system of level scaling, but rather have certain area difficulties like an mmo since it's free roam.
Well according to one interview for Two Worlds II - there was level scaling added but not of the type of Oblivion's. There will be enemies that present a challenge to you but at the same time - other enemies will no longer pose a threat to you. So it is sort of balanced.
