I can't stand enemy level scaling either, but being able to kill a dragon with one hit ?? That doesn't sound to promising either. lol.

I liked the Sacred II enemy scaling. The less you die, the higher the level enemy you'll face, granting more xp and higher level loot. That system works well for all skill levels and rewards those who build better.

This sounds like a fantastic idea.

Well, in TW1 you could reach the 60,000 damage per second, soooo :P

At LV 99 - I think killing a dragon with one hit was well deserved after putting in 60 hours and killing 11,000 people altogether to reach that level. You could just stack the same sword up to increase the power of it but having 50,000 HP was great.

I played the game and it is pretty cool(since I'm from Europe).Combat is pretty much standard except for mages. Oh they really outdone themselves with mages! Much better than first one..

I would give it 8/10.

This gets me leaning towards purchasing it when it comes out in January.

I'm definately getting it to stave off my boredom until Dead Space and the March releases come out. I just hope the voice acting and dialogue are better. Had it not been for that in the first release it may have been bearable to play.

idk, if they get someone else to voice the hero it just won't be the same. He was so terrible, and at the same time so indispensable. "Damn! It's...raining!" I played Sacred 2 as a shadow warrior because it was the same VA and he's so hilariously awful.

Yeah, the voice sounds similar to Garret from Thief:

The hero also swears now nor does he speak in old English like the guy at the start of the video. That's an easter egg BTW - a reference to the original. The rest of the people in the game actually speak modernly now as you can observe in other videos.

For those who doubt this game is good, check the reviews from Amazon.de:

This is a day one buy for me when it comes out.

It contains romance subplots too:

I've only heard what my friends across the pond have said. It's better. The character creator is basic as hell. Open world, stunning visuals the first Island is the better than the second. You can't get to the main island in singleplayer it's multiplayer only. Combat is good, nice animations. The story's sort of generic. The spell system is badass, I mean you can summon a tornado and then make anvils fall from the sky and they get sucked into the tornado and you have what is essentially a massive cylindrical vessel of blunt force trauma. It's a day one buy for me.

From the looks of it, this looks like a very generic Western RPG like Risen or Gothic 4.

I don't know, maybe it will have some cool feature in it kind of like how Divinity II lets you turn into a dragon but I'm not seeing it so far. Looks really derivative. It could still be fun but I'm not exactly excited about it.

You know it was actually released already one month ago and over in Europe? :P

The game has excellent sneaking and archery. Combat moves are many, magic is formidable.

Level scaling is also good, for once. I mean, you encounter a Cyclops, you get pwn'd. You encounter a boar, you pwn him. It's not like it's so hard to make, eh? :P

Hmmm, I may actually check this one out then.  It kind of sounds like Oblivion minus the stuff I hated about that game.

Has anyone played it? Aside from technical issues (that every game have to some degree), is it any good?

I have played the intro chapter, my brother played it quite a lot (40 hours of gameplay, still chapter 1). It's good, that I can say. Much better than TW1. Graphically it's also incredible, yet the requirements are basically... basic. The rest has been said already many times. Good gameplay, a bit of a basic story, but story nonetheless, colorful characters, colorful and very much varied world. It's really something worth buying if you ask me.

...
Did I mention hot women?

You... can have sex, yes. But don't know how much romances develop.

I finished the game in ~30 hours. Good game overall with fun gameplay, but the ending is pretty terrible (just like in the first game).

Best part of the game is a sidequest that spoofs both Monty Python and Indiana Jones. The game doesn't really take itself too seriously.

Well, you have two months in between to get the money. That's enough time.
