In this standalone quest, you pick up where the original campaign left off. Discover how the world has changed following the Blight with a new party of characters. Your created character has a variety of background options available, including the option to play as a Qunari. Explore a new set of levels in a two hour adventure that includes a variety of unique combat encounters and puzzles.

Old post: I need some beta testers for my latest mod, a two hour standalone campaign. The file will be made available to testers on Friday, about a 200 mb download.

No real requirements, but I'll probably have a sheet of questions for you to fill out.

I'd usually wait until I finished the module to discuss what I found, but I'm at a minor roadblock. (Sub-optimal character choice.)

So I'll just mention a few things I noticed:

+ The edited OC areas are wonderful at depicting immediately post-Blight Denerim. Good job!
+ Combat is justified through the story, rather than just random fights.
+ Minor gameplay variety (Fade sense early on, the interrogation of the dwarf merchant, items in the Alienage.)
+ I was a bit put off by the slideshow conversations at first, but most are done very well. (Note: Conrad is in the toolset neutral pose in one background.)
+ While some people may not like Origins decisions being made for them, the decisions actually fit with the story being told here.
+ Interesting boss and set-piece encounters
+ Well-crafted ambiance

- One or two typos (one in the scene with Conrad and the riot.)
- Tranquil cannot cast spells, and are technically no longer mages. (90% of the dialogue is from peasants though, and they might not know any better. The introduction to the tranquil should perhaps make it possible to interpret the healing as spellcasting while he actually uses a lyrium item or something like that, to keep the mild surprise.)
- When healing items are replenished the first time, it seems like all generic weapon items are duplicated. (This may be from Eona's recruitment, so ignore this if it's meant to allow weapon options for Eona.)

Overall, a very good job. I especially liked the custom loading screen and chargen background. (And how did you get 7th level chargen, by the way?)

I'll get back to you for more once I play more...

There is a simple enough tutorial on the wiki, which has recently been added.

Quick feedback.

Love the play in Denerim. It's hilarious.

EDIT: OK, was experiencing problems with Character Creation but I temporarily removed another mod and it seems to be working.

Looking forward to playing it tonight. :)

Wow; I like how you handled the character generation for the Qunari. Playing through it as one, in fact.

Great work! Clever concept and use of original ideas and DA assets. Very enjoyable! I played qunari - as if you wouldn't.

Oh, sorry then. ...what bug? I followed it and it works well for me, unless I can't seem to find a way to add a spec point.

If you want to add a spec point, you can set the creature property 38. There isn't a constant for it, but that is what it is. You can't get them to actually choose the spec in character creation though, it's not how the UI is set up. You could fudge it though, by using a pop up or something to get player input.

I just finished it. Good mod! Lots of interesting puzzles and combat.

My only citicism is that it is linear and there are no choices to speak of. Strong narrative though.

Very impressive work !! Nice story, nice story-telling, nice environment, nice characters..
I liked very much the puzzles and the quite innovative gameplay..

As someone else said the only small defect of this mod is that you haven't any choice available but you are forced to follow a single path. Nevertheless I enjoyed it a lot. One of the best mods I have tried so far.
