I have this working by following the directions on the WineHQ website. However, I suspect that the native overrride of dxdiagn is disabling some aspect of of the directX acceleration since I get this error in the console:
err:ole:COMPOBJ_DllList_Add couldn't load in-process dll L"dxdiagn.dll"
