Have the point to spend, but can't spend it.  I know you are supposed to learn it from party members correct?  I'm at work just bored kinda wondering which member in particular...thanks in advance.

Hmm, okay haven't got him yet. Just picked up Shale, don't know what I'm gonna do next...Zevran does he come into play at Redcliffe?

You get it from Zevran like the above poster stated. I felt dirty though cause you need to bump up your freindship with him. Because I didn't have a lot of gifts to give him, I had to pseudo seduce him... it was kinda creepy.

Nice. Damn I should have saved some of those gifts I gave to Allstair. Had some sweet brew, and pantaloons and gems...used 'em on the witch and tank...

Zevran comes into play after you finish one of the major areas. Redcliffe Castle, Brecilian Forest, Orzemmar, Mage Tower, etc. Whichever you do first.

I think you get Zevran while travelling to Denerim. There will be a cutscene showing how Loghain contracted him to kill you. But I forgot when exactly.

the gifts zevren likes are all the gold and silver bars.

Zevran is a random encounter after any of the 4 main quests are completed. Doesn't matter which one.

you can also get it from a book in Denerim after doing some quests, iirc.
