Hi,
I'm new to the toolset and trying to figure out how to equip a gift item (painted skyball) to the hand slot (either hand) of a new character I created. I've equipped her with the painted skyball, but can't figure out how to equip it, since it doesn't seem to have a slot attached to it. All I need it to do is appear in her hand during a cutscene; I don't care if the skyball is functional.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

For a cutscene, you don't need to equip the item.
As long as the NPC's hand is in the right position, and you have a suitable placeable model for the ball, you can position the ball in their hand, then synchronise movement of hand and ball using the cutscene editor.

heyas;
actually, there's an option to attach a prop to the actor, on any one of a number of nodes (ie: hands). just make sure you use the offset option, so you can position it exactly; otherwise whenever you move it in the hand, it will snap back to where it thinks it belongs.
if you can't find that option, let me know; i'll go find out exactly where it is.
