^i don't think so.

they usually have blur make their promo/cgi trailers. their not cheap... i think its unacceptable to be recycling models for a firstlook trailer. its related to the mass effect universe most likely(rifle)

Not so likely, Bioware as any other company (or person in his/her own mind) like money, but prequel to ME game before ME3 might do more wrong things than good ones.

If they were trying to invoke Mass Effect then they would not have changed the gun's color scheme so much.

And most people won't even notice that that's the Incisor. I sure didn't. The Incisor is a DLC gun on top of that. They re-used the model.

Stoping the screenshots its looks like the soldier is looking out of a normal house into a destroyed frontyard with fence.

at 0:12 it looks like ruins of normal earthly city, with some tower-like things on the side of the river (London? ).

I thought that to first...but looking on fullscreen at it...those tower like things are the fence with the green infront and the pavewalk in the middle...its like a typical european frontyard...just destroyed.

It's probably prequel expansion dealing with the "war hero" and "sole survivor" backstory. The guy in the video is probably a squadmate. Obviously you either save everyone(paragon) or you alone live(renegade)

Could go way before Shepard and actually deal with the First Contact War with the Turians. That'd be a safer bet as I doubt Bioware would want to do one backstory and leave out the others. Completely removing the story from Shepard would be a way for Bioware to test how the franchise will hold up if (as they have planned) they carry on with Mass Effect games after ME3, and without Shepard involved majorly.
