Okay, it's Zaeed in the olden days. Clearly this is true because he has a Mass Effect gun!! Then, then, he also has honeycomb patterns on his armor so that means, get ready for it, Zaeed is actually Miranda!! Clearly he had a sex change where he turned into Miranda and the "Zaeed" in ME2 is just a robot construct, hence the goofy-lookin' face. That also explains why Miranda is sterile.

The game will clearly focus on a struggle between Mirandaeed's male and female psyche, acting as a paragon/renegade system. Gotta be it. Nothing else makes sense.

Guys, remember when BW said that the devs on Montreal will be 'expanding the Mass Effect universe' ? It's a prequel.

I suggest a prequel taking place at a time when the mass relay technology was discovered and earth's different powers fight (more or less secretly) for the sole ownership.

I think you're wrong on that one.  Here's the shot...



To me it looks like he's looking down at something far more distant than the front yard of the building he's in.

My guess is that he's in a highrise looking down on the ruins of the city he's fighting in specifically at a road leading through a large wall.

Sadly, the shot of the exterior itself doesn't really reveal much in my opinion.

But; given the presence of the Incisor weapon model and the vaguely Mass Effect style armor the dude is wearing my guess would be that the game in question occurs in the Mass Effect Universe.

A new franchise really doesn't make sense to me since Bioware has already established a really cool universe with Mass Effect and using an established franchise helps sales of all games in said franchise while creating a new franchise represents a more major investment which doesn't really make sense given the fact that Bioware is already working on the Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Old Republic Franchises.

My guess is that it's either Mass Effect 3, a disc sized expansion for Mass Effect 2 or a 3rd person shooter set in the Mass Effect Universe between Mass Effect 2 and 3.   A Mass Effect prequel seems unlikely to me since the Incisor (which we see in the vid) is described in Mass Effect 2 as being a newly manufactured weapon.

A prequel would be nice hopefully they pick the good part to use. Probably the first contact war?

Highly doubt it's mass effect related, but a prequel expansion of some sort would be awesome, as long as it doesnt hinder the development of the bridging dlc's.

I am shocked that noone sees that it's totally Conrad Verner looking out over "the coldest place on earth". Also some of the flashes in the video kind of shows a reaper **** in close.

Just looks like a generic grey shooter to me, whatever it is. Hardly impressive or fresh.
