It's ME3, that's an incisor rifle, and the reason your armour has hexagons is because you have co-opted Cerberus technology/equipment into your arsenal ready for the oncoming reaper invasion (which works whichever path you took in ME2). The trailer shows the reapers hitting earth.

Surely a seperate FPS would be good news for ME3, not bad. If this new game is a shooter then that gives the ME universe an FPS, which would mean ME3 is less likely to go down that route.

The barcode comes out as binary, which gives you "Vostok" and "-128.5 degrees".



Vostok is a sector in Mass Effect:

All of this speculation about FPS games and prequels is nonsense. It's obvious to me. They are going to announce ME3, or I will eat my hat.

How is it obvious? It's not like it's impossible Mass Effect will get a spin-off.

Announcing ME3 before ME2 is released on PS3? That doesn't seem sensible.

It seems too dark and gritty to be ME3.Remember when was the last time that we saw a person in that sort of condition in an ME game.

Darn I was hoping for a  Dragon Age game set in the distant future when the Darkspawn have been eradicated and the Turians have arrived.

30% chance that it is an ME spin-off

10% chance that it is ME3

my bet is on a mass effect 2 expansion..possibly (by the looks of it and the atmosphere) some sort of "first contact" earth campaign



they cant announce mass effect 3 atleast until mass effect 2 is officially announced for ps3

Looks like a modern/near future military first person shooter to me... oh, well. If it's not ME3, I don't care at all.

Most likely it will be a new IP, however I still believe it might just be a Mass Effect spin-off, but it being a trailer for Mass Effect 3 I highly doubt it is its just way too early.
