Well, if it means anything, the BioWare logo they use in the video is the one they use for ME2, rather than their generic blue one.

CGI trailer for ME3? It looks more like Mass Effect armour than modern military, and December 11th would make it about one year from launch.

Clip (that was in that teaser) isn't exactly big is it, it could be an in-game CGI scene?

That level of quality CGI is not cheap. What BioWare's cooking is big budget.

Mass Effect 3 would be great, would come just in time since I'm still playing 2 at least I wouldn't be given enough time to forget the storyline

Would LOVE to see a singleplayer KOTOR RPG. possibly with some Mass-Effect-style refinements to combat system... not gonna happen though.

I'm guessing the game will be called Cold Iron or Iron Cold. BTW the screens looks like it's a post apocaliptic setting

If you watrch the video on kotaku and pause it at 12. somethings seconds you make out the word "play" on the upper right side. So I believe this trailor starts off show ing a video of something that happened in the past of whatever series this is and then will show what is currently happening in that series.

Yeah, that's definitely a gun from Mass Effect (note the double-barrel), so unless Bioware is stealing guns from Mass Effect to use in a new IP, this is Mass Effect related.

No, please, PLEASE, not. I want my BG memories to always be the same, memories of a real RPG. I don't want another Bioware RPG getting casualized and, to me, ruined.

It's highly unlikely that there will ever be a BG III, especially one being made by Bioware...I think they dropped that ball when advertising DA:O as the "spiritual" successor to BG. If it ever were to come out, it will probably be created by Obsidian with Atari being the publisher..

They completely dropped the ball when the successor to the "spiritual successor to BG" is no longer a real RPG.

... I don't see any connection to Mass Effect in the teaser. From the promo, I sensed an entirely brand new game series apart from ME or DA. Gun and armor look nothing as stylistic as Mass Effects. Though the hairstyle is in the ME game... it's pretty common. It almost has the same grittiness as Gears of War. *twiddles fingers* I was really hoping for ME3... *sadpandapout* Not that a new Bioware game isn't awesome, I was just looking forward in more officials news of ME3 or even a bridging DLC.



Guess I'll have to tune in the VGAs to see...

You are wrong, the gun at least looks pretty much identical to a Mass Effect gun (not the colors).

Well, Mass Effect 2 wasn't an rpg(pretty sure the bio docs even said so themselves), so I wouldn't wager on ME3 being one either..

That's not the Incisor Sniper Rifle. Tip of the barrel, bottom barrel, scope lense are all different. They are similar but it's not the same model. The armor is not Mass Effect armor, no glowing bits on the back.



Now it could be set in the past of the Mass Effect universe before the disovery of the Relay and before humans even went off world in any numbers worth mentioning. But I'm guessing it's near-future Earth, modern body armor just doesn't look like that.

Seriously, they're exactly the same, other than the color. This is a Mass Effect game of some kind.
