The Witcher 2 CE has some amazing stuff!
Collector's Edition

There was a thread a Bioware employee asking abou possible ME3 CE incentives and I think Bioware should really take a look at what comes with The Witcher 2. Not only do you get some extra DLC but you get physical stuff that look great!!

Geralts head, a Temerian coin, the artbook, soundtrack, Dice set, cards, papercraft figures and some other stuff. This is what a Collector's Edition should have.

Finally.

I was hoping for a RL Witcher Amulet, but meh, still cool.

Im glad that CD Projekt is going all the way with this CE but i'd be happy with just artbook, soundtrack, making-of-dvd, poster and a t-shirt. Already hoarding so much stuff on my shelves, don't need more.

Yeahhh.... As much as I need another deck of cards, dice set, and a head sculpture sitting around... I think I'm just going to stick with the normal edition.

I would have settled for another of The Witcher short stories to be included with it. Even though the one I got with the EE version about 3 pages in the middle were printed in German or something.

That would have been great. I really enjoyed The Witcher books.

Quite expensive. Wouldn´t mind a second CE cheaper and with a few extras less as with Two Worlds 2, but this is way better than extra DLC which will likely be in GotY anyway (sorry, I just don´t get DA2 SE point). Also hope this time around CE is the same worldwide. The most likely reason there´s no wolf medallion is because some TW1 CEs already included it.

I guess I already know my birthday present for next year.

Oh wow, that's the most extensive RPG collector's edition I've seen in a long time. Hopefully it will be available on Amazon. Trade in a few PS3 games + reward cards I earn and knock that price down!

I for one hope the polish CE will be different. Atari (AFAIK) is making the one for international and CDP is making local variant. Either way all will be revealed on 18th during CDP online presentation/conference.

At least the game launches May 17th worldwide...

...BTW, the linked page was taken down. I really hope the CE will be different :(

There is also a premium edition, people have just been assuming its the artbook and soundtrack. Should be better for people who don't wanna spend the $130

Thats a lot of stuff....but $130? That's what I usually pay for 3 games. It's frustrating, because I really wanted a manual, map, artworks, making of cd, and any in-game bonus items. But the dice, cards, the head, and coins - to me they're just nicknacks. I was hoping for a collectors edition in the $70-$80 price range. I guess I was spoiled cause I payed $20 for the enhanced edition and got all sorts of cool stuff.

Time to learn how to say "What the f*ck!?" in Polish.

Edit: just looked closer at the art book...damn that thing is huge.

Yeah, aside from the cost there are just too many other games coming out around the same time as TW2.  Honestly, they should price it no higher than $100.

I don't really need a collectors edition anyway, and I don't particularly like publishers enhancing core gameplay with exclusive content. Bioware has already flirted with this in ME2 and it really pisses me off. I hate to see this trend taking hold, and with my favorite developers no less. In my opinion, the core game should be the same for everybody.

What concerns me is the "super suit" that enhances Geralt's swordplay. Does that mean my vanilla edition Geralt is forever nerfed?...oh the nerd rage...it is coming....

Hmmm....I just noticed to the release date is now officially May 17th, a few days after my birthday. I'll get somebody to buy it for me. :D

So they pushed it back. Interesting. No dueling with Dragon Age 2?

I don't blame them. Bioware is the heavyweight here.

130 smackers!

It's got a lot of stuff in there.

All you need now is a bust of Hawke to have on your shelf so you can have the stare-down of DOOM!

Closest  would be "Co jest, kurwa?!" I think, but there are many, many, MANY variants ;P

Edit: just looked closer at the art book...damn that thing is huge.

Indeed, that is the only thing I crave sor from the CE, but wont buy it either way. Maybe the book will be available later on auctions...

Find me a CE bonus that has upset the balance of a game. It's one item, and it's highly likely it'll be replaced within the first half of the game (If they have any sense).

Whoa your birthday is May 15th? So is mine :wizard:

Back to the topic. Smart move, would be messy fight. The year is big enough for the both of them.

I'll probably just buy it on Steam unless it's possible to play it without the CD like in the WItcher Enhanced Edition.

I doubt it would be. At least not at first.
