London nerd trip

I am going to London this week and I would like to ask, what is the best place for a sci fi (including Bioware) nerd to go? Any specific store? I like cheap things, so bear that in mind.
I wouldn't mind buying some posters and such, or books.
Thanks for the following posts.

It's very close to Cambridge Circus, if memory does not fail me.

I found lots of small nerdy shops around the center of London, I'm sure if you walk around, you'll find some as well.

Beans are quite cheap here! You can survive on beans on toast! (Just make sure you have a window open after dinner)BlazePT wrote...

Tescos' bread ain't that bad, maybe I'll starve a bit. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll google those dungeons up and see if they're worth it.
Anyway, I kinda like the name Biotard, though someone had used first...

I too like the term Biotard! Does it count if I miss London. I'm from the states, but lived in England for 3 years.

Worry not my fellow biotard (see what I did here?), when I go to the states I'll open this very topic asking for nerd fun there
Now, feel free to miss it, I sure miss my hometown...

Was about to say this, and yes it is. Right on the cusp of Covent Garden, which has a few little ecclectic shops to suit the fellow geek also.
--Foyles on charing X rd nearby has a good sci-fi section too, and Charing Cross itself has a few comic book shops also.
--If you're a Doctor Who nerd, there's a shop in Acton Park. Bit of a travel outside on central london for the tourist, but definately worth the trip if you love Who.
--If you're an apple nerd, the apple store on Regent St is a bit of a mecca- pretty shinies to play with!
--As museums and galleries go, I reccomend The British Museum (lovely collection of relics, always fond of the Egypt section) and Tate Modern. Walk along the Thames to the London eye from there also, the walk is lovely. The science museum is very dull imo, and the National History museum is better. GIANT DINOSAURS.
Remember to get an Oyster Card. Please get an Oyster Card- shoving a bit of paper in the gates while a horde of locals are behind you tutting impatiently isn't fun. Oh, and stand to the right on the escalators on the tube.

Soignee, you're sort of making me foam in the mouth for wanting to go to London again. I did basically all of that except the Dr. Who bit. *fondles her Oyster card*

I will either have to get a Oyster or a daytravel card, or something. Stupid money
Yes I love Who, and I seriously need a sonic screwdriver!
You guys are the greatest! Any time you decide to visit Portugal, just PM me
