To the TC: if you like Lovecraft, check out Robert E. Howard. Not exactly the same, but they were good friends and contemporaries and a lot of Howard's work is bloody good.



As for my favorites: China Mieville, Dostoevsky, Mark Twain, and Mikhail Bulgakov.
