Well, ive been screwing around with the toolset recently, though i have not touched the main campaign in order to no completely screw up the game as it seems so many people have done.

However it seems that even not touching the campaign can fck your game up.

I had just started the Shale DLC, and the only bug i had noticed is that whenever i talked to the dog, it gave me the same dialogue as when you adopt the dog after the battle of ostagar, including renaming him.  next time i went to camp, allastair came and ****ed to me about what i did at redcliffe blah blah, then i was hoping to go woo lelianan but all my characters where following me.  I went into the forums and tried the two simple fixes, checking hte ovveride folder, and renaming the single person folder.
Now when i try to resume or load any saved games it gives me the error,

"the module campaign.cif is missing"

really don't want to lose these saves.

Though this game was one of the best ones i have played, it also has had an immense amount of bugs.

The single person folder is the single player campaign. That would be why you are getting the missing campaign.cif error.

Also when you goto make a new module with the toolset make sure that under the properties and Hierarcy button make sure you do not have your new module linked to single player. Otherwise you are in essence editing the single player campaign still.

The only thing you need to do to revert any changes is delete everything inside the override folder. This should set everything back to normal unless you have saved files into other folders besides the overrider folder.

Try opening the toolset and using Tools > Export > Empty Export Directories

Just reinstall the game. You can choose to keep the saved files when you uninstall, and they should be fine. This happened to me. Wait until the toolset gets fixed, imo.

Actually i renamed the single player folder back to what it was, which fixed that problem but i think 2-3 of my character saves are broken
