I have had this issue everytime i play me1. When i defeat saren the first time I cannot get to the control panel. most the time the bridge is not there. when it is it stops me just at the end of the walkway and i can't get to the thing. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

I have ran all over the place trying to get past what ever is blocking me from getting to it. Is it a game glitch?

A minor glitch. Exit to menu, return back to game, the bridge should extend. If not working, try quicksave-quickload.
