Me and my friends have been playing NWN2 for a while now and a few days ago they both commented that for all these years,  my druid has not once summoned her animal companion. Thats sorta weird, as I've always had my companion out. I took the feat to have the Dinosaur from level 1 (from SoZ) but it appears they cant see it. They only have the original NWN2 with none of the expansions (It's difficult to get where they lives.) So is this normal or some sort of bug? We experimented a bit, and it also turns out that if I make a Yuan-Ti, they cant see it at all. It's completly invisible and doesnt even show up in the character portraits on the side of the screen.

Is this normal, or do my friends need to get SoZ and MotB to see my stuff?

I believe that is correct; the core game does not contain the necessary files for new content created for MotB and SoZ.
