Time into game 47 hours - Disk 2
Steps to Create the bug.
1. Go to the Star Map that is used to navagate between nebula's.
2. Head to any nebula, (No specific nebula was needed.)
3. Head to a planet and press A to orbit the planet to access the Scan for minerals feature.
4. Press Y to open up the Scan feature of the game.
5. Hold the left triger and let the scanner run. (Amount of time is not needed. 2 seconds works the same as 2 minutes.)
6. While still holding the Left Trigger Press the B button once. (Nothing should happen).
7. After pressing the B button, Let go of the Left Trigger. Then immediatly press the B button and Then Immediatly hold down the left trigger again before exiting the Scan feature.(You should start to exit the Scanning Screen).
(^ This step should be done quickly to retrieve the desired resutls ^)
8. If done correctly you will still have have the Green Icon that says Scan, or Launch Probe even though you are not in the Scan part of the game anymore.
Problem corrects itself as soon as you enter the orbit of another Planet or Leave the Map screen.

I appologize for not being able to help you find Programming probelm. I didn't have access to the game code to research it in depth. Hope this helps, Will report other game glitches if I don't see them on your site.
