This is just an intro topic I couldn't help but start early due to my excitement. Stay tuned as a friend of my is in the final stages of completing a new version of Legion in Maya based directly off the ME2 Legion 3D character model.
No more giant hole in the chest
Upgraded shoulder paldrons with N7 branding
Advanced sensor and comms package back attackment
Supplementary Armor fixtures

I will post images as soon as it is completed, and if you like it help this topic grow large with the hope of the designs entering ME2 as a new appearance package.

Till later

No, Legion is good as he is, with the hole. This way Shepard-Commander can use him as cover, and the hole as... well, as a loop-hole.

Shouldn't Garrus get his armor and face fixed too? Apparently nobody on Shepard's crew gives a damn to look presentable.

"Hey Legion, what's with the hole?"

"What hole?"

"... oh wait, it's gone."

*Shepard leaves in shame*

While I like Legion's current battle-worn look, I also look forward to seeing what Triad's friend will come up with. Triad, please thank your friend for us, I'm genuinely curious now.

No. The hole makes him look badass. Garrus' scar on his face, though, is just... wrong... The bandage does not help his image of badassery at all.

@Soah: Oh? You don't find the giant slab of stupid looking gauze plastered to his cheek sexy? Something must clearly be wrong with you, sir.

As for Legion, I say we get Giftmas DLC that lets us hang mistletoe in his hole.

Oh hush, we can get Garrus a festive holiday scarf to cover up the bandage fail, too.

I got that overpriced face fixer in the med-bay anyway, I think Garrus just wants to make Shepard look like an ass. "He doesn't pay us anything, look at the broken armor he makes me wear, I can't even afford to patch up my face."

And Legion just creeps me out. The way he won't fix that gaping hole in his chest must be part of his creepy obsession with Shepard. Is he waiting to steal one of Shepard's armor sets?

Thanks for your replies and to get you all and others on board here is a more detailed description of the modifications to the Legion unit.
No more giant hole in the chest, armor should match undamaged side in color, and front and back. New texture is similar to the pattern of carbon fiber on cars.
Upgraded shoulder pad with N7 branding: Legion already has a shoulder pad on his right shoulder. The one I am devising or envisioning is both taller and wider in essence completely covering his right shoulder from the base of the rotatory cup, coming up and additional 3 inches (adjusted to his body size). N7 Should be stamped in the middle of the pad.
Advanced sensor and comms package back attackment: Instead of the giant pipe sticking out of his back, Legion should now have a small daypack sized box on his back, starting just below the collar bone area. Black with a few lights, maybe a N7 stamp, and complete with 2 identical latches on either side. On the left side of his head area should be a small antenna array and camera setup. Due to the fact that the panels on his head flare up at different times it is plausible that the antenna is mounted horizontal pointing behind him or pointing down. It is also possible to not have an antenna at all but rather a small box, 1/2 inch in length and mounted below it a small camera.
Supplementary Armor fixtures: While Legion primarily performs infiltration he has now been "beefed" up for more combat oriented roles. Therefore he should have armor bracing his knee joints, his elbows and wrists. The ones covering the joints should be similar in design to the FJ/Para Knee pads in Halo Reach. Also something similar to a utility belt around his waist, with a few blinking lights maybe a couple hexagonal armor fixtures.
Also his lighting scheme has gone back to normal blue but changes to red during combat. Lastly there is a small N7 stamp in the upper right corner of his chest area.
The overall idea is similar to the change that occurred in the new Batman movies. The change from the beginning suit to the upgraded suit. Instead of lightweight, he is now midweight and while armored his is still very mobile.

Nah, I like the damaged look Legion has and how it is a unique part of his backstory that hasn't been explored yet. I also like the damage on Garrus' since it suits him.

I have more of a problem of people not wearing armor or wearing stupid **** into combat (like high-heels)
