I'm sort of bummed it wasn't another element, I kind of like the idea of "Here are some random chemical properties, now use the periodic table to spell out the name". So far there's nothing in regards to something with a freezing (well, melting) point of 128.5 F and since scientists use the metric system.. yeah, we should totally be talking Celsius terms if that were the case.

the world was hit by a gigantic meteor made of iron that plunged the world into an ice age. Your duty, find penguins and have tea with them

Near future shooter-ish game in a very cold place? If it's anything like MGS I'm sold!

My top theories at the moment are KOTOR (or possibly a reveal for something in TOR) or lampost (cold.. iron.. come on).

So... this is an announcement announcing another announcement? :pinched: Based on the scant available footage I am unimpressed. Military themed games are of no interest to me, and unlike Mass Effect this title may lack a significant science fiction element to reel me in. Alpha Protocal was a spy game, which I am cool with, but anything that even reminds me of CoD sends me running away screaming. :P It will be interesting to discover what this actually is come December eleven. I might be interested in a Mass Effect spin off. Maybe. We will see.

Cold Iron is also a poem by Rudyard Kipling, but I don't see anything that could help us in it.

BAM!

Aequitas

Home to the famous Iron Canyons, Aequitas has reddish iron oxide dust (hematite) covering much of its surface and significant blue cobalt deposits that freckle the terrain. Turian explorers have discovered hot springs in the polar ice caps, heated by magma in the planet's crust. In a strange combination of science and hucksterism a small facility exports water from these springs, which is bottled and sold as having medicinal properties. The funds are then used to maintain a research station, which has discovered some fossil evidence that Aequitas once harbored microscopic life, based on deoxyribonucleic acids in these springs.

Surface Temp: −89 °C

Why couldn't they just use the acronym for DNA instead of spelling the whole thing out like that makes it sound more mysterious..
