The only good thing I'll say about Final Fantasy XIII is that it's not quite as awful as this...



I complain about how Tetsuya Nomura makes every character look like a J-pop star. In that one, they actually ARE j-pop stars, ugh.

Anyways, Final Fantasy XIII is a nominee based solely on the merit that it's a Final Fantasy game.  As tarnished as that franchise is, Final Fantasy XIII hasn't completely destroyed the prestige that comes with the name.

I guess we'll find out in about 5 years.

Man, what happened to Square/Enix?  It used to be we got a good Final Fantasy game every 1-2 years but now we just get a crappy one once every 4-5 years.

Gran Turismo 5 isn't even out yet which is why it was stupid to release this list of nominees so soon.

All these awards suck, no matter what industry it is.. even Eurovision and Nobel Prise. It's just a tool, always feels that there is politics or money behind it. As Stalin said: "It's not important who votes, it's those who count the votes that matter".

So I'm not even going to bother with this BS.

Once again these VGA's don't look interesting at all. I can't understand why some of the nominees are even nominated at all.
No offence, but what's so great about Strahovski's VO'ing? If they have to give it to ME2 that badly just give it to Hale IMO.
Force Unleashed 2 was entertaining but no way in hell is the game good enough to be nominated even once.
That Brotherhood only gets one single nomination is sad when it's (IMO) one of the best games of the year. Give the game either more nominations or just save the game for next year's VGA's. 
Sheen and LotSB can have the award, but I won't shed a tear when they don't.
So once again, the only interesting thing about the VGA's is gonna be the announcements. The rest of the show sounds like useless fat that needs to be cut or reshaped into muscle instead of keeping it a popularity contest. They say they'd take it into a new direction, but I'm not convinced.

As far as game of the year goes it comes down to ME2 and RDR for me and i really can't make my self chose one over the other loved both games and played both to death
