 Again, people were recently hired from Bioware Montreal. BW said that they would help 'expand the Mass Effect universe'. It is ME-related.

My money is on TV Show. There is a Dragon Age Anime coming why wouldn't they do something similar for Mass Effect?

 Well, theres a planet in ME1 called Antibaar and it has a FROZEN surface mainly composed of IRON...so...

Video games are announced at the VGAs, not movies or shows.

Don't take anything for granted. Just because it is the VGAs doesn't mean they won't announce a Mass Effect movie or TV Show.

Well, duh. It's got sniper rifles and high tech armor. You'd figure everyone would get that it wasn't dragon age related.

I think his point was that the trailer is Mass Effect related and not completely new IP. So we can consider things like the sniper rifle more than just reusing old models. Like how many old games would have the same enemies painted different colors.

Yeah, it fits what we known so far. Bioware has been hiring in order to expand the mass effect universe. This is most likely it. People just didn't pay any attention to the hiring before, as it was assumed they meant Me3.

Agreed... or maybe the same person who designed the Incisor designed the rifle we see in this trailer.

How long before mass effect 2 came out did we see the teaser trailer wit legion in it?

Maybe if it's a spin-off game they'll introduce some new characters that we will have as squadmates in ME3.



Kind of like Jacob and Miranda in ME:Galaxy (except hopefully with better gameplay!).

I want a sci-fi military game.  I loved Battlefront and FPS games typically treat themselves as long movies, so I would be excited to see Bioware do a short-story style game.

Considering also how many nominees ME2 has taken for this awards (f**k yeah!) the VGAs should be a nice place to show something about the next chapter of the saga. Even just a 15 sec. teaser followeb by a "2011" message.

Now BioWare did say they were going to be releasing new DLC in order to "bridge the gap between ME2 and 3"

However DLC is NOT a "new game"
