Just saying, it would be awesome.

I left out that just because Shepard isn't shown in the clip doesn't mean that Shepard can't be involved, or it can't be part of the Mass Effect storyline. It could be similar to Jacob being the protagonist of Mass Effect galaxy. The identity of the character in the video could be anybody, even some mook Shepard shoots with a pistol. We can't know. That's why I just decided to take the Incisor (something that objectively is the Incisor model, re-used asset or not) and the given barcode hints in my guesswork.
Everything else is too open to interpretation.kylecouch wrote...
There a large bridge and a river running through a destroyed city....this is plainly obvious...and I hope you realize that rifle model exsists in real life...it's not a ME exclusive...
Depends on distance and perspective. You see a destroyed city and a large bridge. I see a walkway, a courtyard, wall, and a destroyed facility. It works as a city, to me, if the guy is sitting in the middle of a skyscraper. To me it looks like he's sitting in a 2-3 story building looking down at a courtyard. But like I said, that doesn't matter. The video and the clues do not have to be pointing to the same place.
And if they wanted to use a non-Incisor rifle model they could have, but they didn't. I'm assuming they did it for a reason. I could be wrong. But all of the other theories I've read about what the barcode hints are pointing to are borderline ludicrous.

Putting a face that isn't Shepard in a ME add is just plain bad business sense...I can't Bioware doing anything that moronic.

I hope it's more ME goodness, but not only does it look like a new IP, but the use of the phrase "their next game" (in the VGA trailer,) make it even more unlikely that it's ME. It's obviously not their next game to be released, which makes it sound like it's implying the next new game. Emphasis on the new.

It could be Mass Effect Galaxy (Jacob Taylor was protagonist) on steroids. Who knows? My "theory" doesn't address what game they're hinting at, simply what the barcode hints are pointing to. We don't have enough evidence to reliably guess what game they mean anyway. Just taking the information they are giving us and using that.

And taking barcode hints and actually thinking that they are a reference to a random and obscure planet in a remote system that held no value to anything and held a random N7 mission that was basicly a copy and paste mission of UNC: Missing Survey Team is just as far fetched as any other theory right now.

No it isn't. The barcode hints refer to very specific attributes that are matched, precisely, by a planet in Mass Effect.THEE_DEATHMASTER wrote...

They posted it in Dragon Age announcements, too.

Yes it is...because these things can be linked to real life statistics that exsist in reality...

Besides if they wanted people to know it's Mass Effect they would make it a planet more people would know about...not some random planet that holds no value to anything

...in addition they would not commit this much money to a "ME Galaxy's" type of game...Jacob was the star because it was a low budget (not to mention crappy) CELL PHONE game...I doubt they would make a mainstream ME game about anyone but Shepard until the trilogy was complete.

I'm thinking they'll resurect Shattered Steel. What happens to iron that gets too cold? It can break.

Do we really need another "Bioware Bazzar" dissapointment. Stop over hyping something and then letting everyone down with something not even related to something currently out.

strange coincidence, ill give it that. i highly HIGHLY doubt it has anything to do with fallout, but rather that image might just be pointing at a partnership with obsidian. no idea what to make of this really, thats just an idea, and unlike most people i love obsidian for their rpg spirit and would love to see what their capable of teaming up with bioware. its certainly in the realm of possibilities. but this is pure speculation on my part, it seems pretty doubtful. but hey they did tell us to look closer, doesnt get more paranoid attention to detail then that.
