Am I the only one seeing resemblance in the sniper picture from BioWare and the default Micheal Thorton? Like the hear is the same and his face looks like 10 years older.

I am almost certain it's the next Alpha Protocol game.

See the resemblance, my guess is; that BioWare just bought the rights to Alpha Protocol and are making their own version or sequel to Alpha Protocol.

Sorry to burst your bubble people, but this marking on his shirt is just a plain 2d barcode.
You can find it on all kinds of packages.
Google search for 2d barcode and you'll see what I mean.

It's like an ordinary barcode, only this has two dimensions instead of only one dimension.
Since you can't decipher these without any equipment, they all look the same.
The same way you can't say that the barcode on the back of Hitman's Agent's 47's head is the same as your average breakfast cereal... <_<

zomg, EA bought Sega and BioWare is now making crossovers with Segas unsuccessful franchises! Sonic Chronicles 2 to follow soon! You saw it here first!

As for the gun in the picture. Yes, is looks strikingly similar to the Mass Effect's sniper DLC. But... as we all know BioWare... it'll probably be a special pre-order or "own this game to unlock it's content in the other game" DLC.

And yes, it might be a multiplayer spin-off to Mass Effect. Yes, it might be the next Alpha Protocol game. It is all speculation at this point. I'm just showing others what I found.

To me; It all points to a next Alpha Protocol game. The barcode, the facial features between the picture and the default Micheal Thorton. We will all see what it is on Dec.11

The tittle of this game will be Call of Protocol: Gears of Effect. And the main character will be Commander Michael Fenix.

EDIT: Also, in the teaser trailer, when the camera looks outside to the city. You can clearly make out the city london. The parlament building with the river themes.

So unless Mass Effect's spin-off is based on earth, it's another indicator it's Alpha Protocol.

Hm, maybe but I found somewhere and there was that it is. Never mind, but still when you look on some MIchael Thornton pictures it is similiar.
 And yeah, it looks like earth so maybe another point. And I also found some time ago, that BW is or was planing to do some FPS or RPG(I am not sure) spy game or something, and what is Alpha protcol ? SPY GAME !..But still here is lot of thing to speculate about, we will know later heh

Look at the resemblance now. Same hair, same Cheeckbones. He just looks battle-worn and a little older now.

Ok, agreed, Obsidean's Micheal Thorton looks more like Matt Damon and BioWare's picture looks more like Jason Staton.

EDIT: Also know that the graphics used between the cinematics are diffirent, BioWare's teaser was more detailed in graphics then Obsidean's was. They could've fine tuned Micheal Thorton. Also bare in mind he looks older in the BioWare picture.

I think Bioware is doing a multiplayer fps rts game but it's tps style with the protagonist being Flint from GI Joe playing the guy from Doom and it's set in the Mass Effect universe pitted against the Covenant but on Caprica in the late 1980's.

I don't understand why so many people are whining/making derogatory comments about those that are trying to "decode" the clues.



Despite David Gaider's comments, Bioware have obviously put some effort into this little mystery, and you can only assume that they're giving this little clues in the hopes that people will talk and try to solve them.



Like i said earlier in the thread, i think it's Alpha Protocol related, though the clues do seem to line up much better with the Mass Effect universe.



I'll be happy if it's either of those things.

Hmmm an Alpha Protocol using the Mass Effect 2 engine, hmmm maybe its Bioware's way of saying thanks for effing up KOTOR 2 and NWN2. To repay you we are going to take one of your games and not make it suck.
