The barcodes kind of look like those place holders they use when you're asking your computer to track your motion. You know, put it on you hand, computer sees it and moves an object around on screen in sync with your hand?

And don't forget the name. Counting the 0's, you get 3 4 1 and 2 or 3/4/12, a date. And there are 3 pictures - the initial release date of ME3. Or, the 3 means 4/12 is the release month of "3". Also note the 3 dashes on the end reinforcing the "3" aspect. See, this gives us our countdown to "0 hour".


Alternatively, it is reference to Ecclesiastes 3:4.

If we examine the words, bolding the ones that correspond to the 0's, we get

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance 
From there we can plainly see that it is time to weep with joy and time to laugh at their cleverness for it is 
 time to  mourn the loss of the old and the coming of the new. Also, they are obvious going to make an announcement - just look at that trailing and waiting to have them come in and finish it.  

Clearly, this means they will be making an announcement that will involve the end of support for one project and the official start of another.

I think this is almost certainly ME related however I hope Bioware doesn't decide to go down the multiplayer path.

Has anyone thought to combine the two barcodes and see if you get something by scanning the resulting image. I doubt it will do anything, but I have this nagging feeling about it.

This is similar to what Valve did earlier this year. They had codes and stuff hinting at Portal 2. Now Biowere is teasing us with possible mass effect game or shattered steel! What is it with these companies! lol

Given that it was an EA employee the two announcements could be anything............. We all assumed it would be two BioWare related announcements. So maybe there was something the day after that didn't register because we were looking for BioWare info?

The confusion was that this was on Twitter and the EA employee retweeted a message by Geoff Keighly saying there would be two announcements. Those who aren't used to Twitter may have thought that the retweet was a quote by the EA employee and that he said there would be two announcements. He didn't.

It's rumored to be many things. Mass Effect prequel is a possibility but we can't rule out a new franchise.

Most likely a multiplayer spin-off... or a prequel I guess.

Case solved - it will be a callofdutish game set in ME universe. Short singleplayer campaign and the most important thing, multiplayer.
