Could be an MP shooter/rpg along the same lines as ME but set in a different universe. Seems kinda early for ME3 or other ME content that's not DLC

Keep in mind that if this is indeed a Cold War based shooter/RPG and the footage from the trailer does show the sniper in VBX (Vauxhall Bridge Cross) -- SIS headquarters -- as some people are suggesting, SIS didn't actually move into the Vauxhall Cross headquarters until 1995. From the 1966 to 1995, SIS was based out of Century House at 100 Westminister Bridge Road in Lambeth; although, it wouldn't be the first time a game was historically inaccurate.
As a Cold War history buff, I'd love a Cold War shooter/RPG from Bioware, but I think the evidence for such is circumstantial at best. It's likely to be set in the ME Universe.

I'd actually love it if it was Mass Effect set in Britain and involving Spectres and other shady types. I very, very, very, very much doubt it is that though, just love the idea of seeing the UK all 'Mass Effecty'.

While I am inclined to believe the SCEE Russia tweet was incorrect based on everything we have seen so far (just doesn't seem like the way to start marketing the final game in a trilogy focused on one 'star' character) I seem to remember the devs hinting way back that we might yet see Earth in the series. Should that be the case having the Earth stuff take place somewhere more unlikely than just the USA of the future would be kinda cool (speaking as a Brit so I am admitedly biased).

I know this is a stretch but looking at the text on the sis page:

"Regional instability, terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and illegal narcotics are among the major challenges of the 21st century. SIS assists the government to meet these challenges. To do this effectively SIS must protect the secrets of its sources and methods. This factor is reflected in our website."

I see the words "mass" and "effectively" there.

Hmmm.. http://train2game.fi...ware-teaser.jpg
Look at the framework for the windows. It does look like he is standing between 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock. (in the clockwork of Big Ben itself)
And the courtyard behind Big Ben roughly looks like the one in the trailer (I no longer think it's a bridge over a river but a courtyard that is fenced and supported by concrete pillars). He could be standing up in Big Ben and aiming down at the entrance of the courtyard. Go on to Google Maps and look up Big Ben. St Margaret Street that runs infront of the entrance.
I'm just brainstorming.. could be way off.

Ok someone needs to watch License to Kill. Why? Because one of their hints related to Vostok, which had the lowest temperature ever recorded on earth at -89.2 degrees Celsius. License to Kill was released in 1989, and was Timothy Dalton's second and final time as James Bond. Their latest clue lead to MI6. Do the literary math. James Bond's first assignment in the movie is to Turkey, which is east, or vostok of the U.S., Canada, and Britain.

I guess Commander Shepard is

Renewing his License to Kill.

Weren't the Alliance Corsairs a secret group? Maybe it's a game about a soldier there.. not sure how it would tie into the Mass Effect story though. Just an idea that came up once I saw you guys talking about secret service

I'm inclined to agree.  I'm thinking that this game is gonna be set in the modern day, or near future.

Perhaps it'll be another shooter/rpg hybrid like ME or Alpha Protocol (personally I think it would be all kinds of cool if Bioware made an AP sequel).   Maybe it'll be a full-on shooter (though I hope not)

But personally I doubt it's ME-related.  I mean, it's not like Bioware hasn't borrowed stuff from previous games before (space hamsters, anyone?)

Bad example... they "borrowed" that one from themselves.

If you die in ME2, there is no Shepard in ME3...........new potential main character in case Shepard fails, ie Arbiter from Halo type of deal where we'll have 2 extremely skilled Protagonists...just a thought, but a good one.

Exactly.  The similarity in armor and rifle  to that from ME could be similar "borrowing"

Ah.  Now I see what you're playing at.  Thought you were relating the Alpha Protocol-y stuff to Boo.  Didn't catch that you were mentioning the Incisor model.

But in that case, they borrowed the hamster as an easter egg to long time fans. You can't have an entire game design as an easter egg...

And who is to say this weapon isn't one as well?  Heck, maybe the Incisor will be the equivalent of Blood Dragon armor for this new game.

But really,  what game design have we seen yet?  A few seconds of footage is all.  A guy in body armor with markings that might be Mass Effect-ish and a rifle that looks like the Incisor.  Now if he was drawing a bead on a turian, I'd definitely agree that it was a Mass Effect game. But the building he was in (what little we see) looked more like a bombed-out early 21st century Earth building than anything we've seen in late 22nd Century Mass Effect.   I admit, even that is just a guess on my part.

nope.  if shepard dies in ME2, there is no ME3 for that shepard.  this is Biowares own explination, not mine.

think of it like every shepard is an alternate universe.  in some of those universes, Shepard dies in ME2 and the saga ends right there.  there is no ME3 with a new protagonist.  You juyst have to either use a shepard that survives 2 or create a new defult shepard.

Please Bioware, please let it be ME3! I'm all for spin-off games and such, but it's time to finish Shepard's story once and for all.

one thing they could do... now this is just an idea not saying anything has led me to believe they are in fact doing it, but they could make a multilayer expansion pack for ME2, which they could then take more time on ME3 to make even more epic since we had something to hold us over. the expansion pack could just be pure multiplayer, no campaign, but come at a smaller cost. $30-$40 i guess.

just a thought.

Mass Effect 3 announcement would be a great news.Yes,everyone knows, that ME 3 is in development. But it had't been officially announced yet.Even one of the director's of Bioware said, that ME3 will have an official announcement later...So ,yes,i am waiting for it and a teaser as well.

Why this guy doesn't look like Shepard? Because Bioware doesn't want to spoil anything before the announcement. It's simple.

Could be something from the First Contact war era perhaps.
