They did say that the want to show us Earth on ME3, maybe we'll see London?

That or BioWare are making the next Guitar Hero (subtile: The Clash). ;)

Hinted is more like it, can't find a decent link. So take it with a heap of salt (I may be misremembering).

Yeah, definitely a Mass Effect game. Just maybe not 3... :)

I don't think this game will be ME related at all; Consider this - PS3 owners have yet to enjoy the delights of the game and story yet; it makes no sense to create hype and expectation over a possible ME3 or ME spin off whilst excluding the PS3 gamers who have yet to get sucked into the storyline.

If ME3 or spinoff was released, it would make better sense to include PS3 gamers in the excitement also.

My guess? a new IP. Edmonton has ME, Austin has DA. Montreal has....??!

One other point if i may, Bioware Montreal was created after the merger with Mythic. This could possibly be an update of a previous Mythic game or a previously cancelled project such as Invasion Earth or maybe Imperatrator Online.

Actually, it could be argued that another Mass Effect based game would be really good advertisement for ME2 on PS3. The basical idea would be: "You reckon this look really amazing don't you? Get in on the action and see what all the fuss is about and buy ME2 for the PS3 so you know what's happening."

Personally: I hope its Mass Effect 3 I'd be happy as hell cause I don't want to wait, if it's not but ME related, than I'm still happy cause it lets me explore the ME universe past Shepard and I get another new Space Opera video game. And if it isn't either, I won't be fussed cause it's Biowares and their track record says I'll love it.

Could be. Yet so many clues are linkable to Mass Effect... ah well... we'll know in about 10 days :)

It all sounds so very "far reaching," if you ask me.

Macross, that is a good point and i hope you are right. I too really hope it is ME-related, and would chew off my right arm for ME3 (if i didn't need it to hold the gamepad)

I just dont get any ME vibes with the images we have seen so far (the lack of a defined futuristic imagery as per the first two games as an example), however the barcode clues released are intriguing and it is great to see other fans interpretations of thier meaning.

I still think this will be an new IP for the montreal team who i assume are primarily Mythic staff. Man, i hope i am wrong...

Mythic and Montreal are different. Montreal's 20-something man staff was originally formed half from staff from Edmonton (a lot of Mass Effect staff) and half brand new hires. BioWare Mythic is a seperate division all together.

Montreal originally provided supporting development to the main Mass Effect 2 team, which was located in Edmonton. Montreal helped with art assets, side quests, and a few other extras.

Casey Hudson did say that they would visit Earth in the third game. But I still doubt it's ME3. Although if PS Russia is right, then I guess it is. But that's if they're right. We'll just have to wait and see.

Few months ago BioWare mentioned that a player will be able to visit Earth on one of upcoming DLC's in ME2 too.

Actually, our only solid clues at all are the screenshots from the teaser and numerous references to london. Its going to be a shooter of some kind, possibly ME related, and its going to be in london. The hype and crazy theories aren't helping. I almost garuntee that everyone is going to be disappointed.

I, for one, am hoping for a Mass Effect spin-off shooter :P.

I never said that would be a bad thing. although multiplayer would be.....not good...
I'm just not a fan of the mindless speculation which is building this ridiculous hype. I'd rather stick to the concrete proof and NOT be disappointed when its not ME3. The only "guess" ive made so far was flipping over my "The Singles" album and noticing that London Calling was the first track. (I then proceeded to listen to the whole album:P)

Multiplayer would be fine, if just to see how BioWare handle it.

There's a lot of loony ideas being thrown around, but not all the ideas thrown out are mindless. It might be Mass Effect related, and it might not be. It might be Mass Effect 3, or it might be the Mass Effect spin-off. None of us know for sure, but I think the collection of information I have in my thread is a pretty level headed view at what we've got.

PS: You have rad taste.

I could see multiplayer being really good actually, but they'd have to put ALOT of work into it. I could picture like 20 Sheploos running around in the same match because the "multiplayer crowd" is too lazy too make their own character...although if the did something like a "pick your race, class, etc." that would be awesome.

PS: Why thank you. good music ftw. :)

But can't confirme. as none of the decoders I used to decode the others can handle one that big.

As far as Im concerned if BioWare play their cards right, and allow us to pick other races, they'd be on the path to something pretty original and fun. It would be great to run around as Turians, Asari, Geth, Quarian, or whoever they decide to throw in. If its human only they'll have failed to capitalise on one of the properties greatest assets, which would be a huge disappointment.

Assuming a Mass Effect shooter exists at all, of course.

I'll try and find the link. Basically, it was after the Kasumi DLC where we saw a few glimpses at Earth's culture, and they said they wanted Earth to be a 'big reveal.'
